Improvements needed

The place was good. Clean, close to the train station and comfortable. BEWARE: The only way to access the unit is to call a phone number to unlock the gate. For international travellers this may be an issue. We purchase eSIMs when we travel, so no access to phone, we had to get creative to gain access each time we wanted in. The communication was for some reason to my email account even though we repeatedly tried to move communication to the VRBO app. I don’t use my email on vacation, that’s why I have the app. For some reason we were sent to a 3rd party website (4th party really, because I thought VRBO was the 3rd party?) to submit our credit card information? The most absurd part of staying here was asking if there was another roll of toilet paper and being told that they don’t provide toilet paper for our entire stay, only enough to get us started. Can you imagine a hotel telling you to go out and buy more toilet paper if you need it? As a positive, the smoke detector battery needed replacing and was replaced by the next day and window coverings replaced when requested

The apartment was fine but unless I overlooked it, nowhere did it state that this was a 5th floor walk up! The check in was all done remotely and you recieved them the day before and only then did you find out that the apartment was on the top floor. The apartment was fine but I was recovering from significant knee injury and there is no way I would have rented this place if I knew it was a 5th floor walk up despite the apatrnent being a very nice one. In the listing it should state if this place might not accomodate some one with a mobility issue.

Nous étions quatre voyageurs, cela impliquait que l’un de nous dorme sur le canapé lit. Le problème est que celui ci n’était pas fonctionnel. Nous ne pouvions l’ouvrir complètement à cause de la déformation de l’une des barres métalliques de la structure, bloquant l’ouverture complète du canapé lit. J’ai donc dû sortir le matelas et dormir à même le sol. De plus la fenêtre de la chambre double ne se fermait pas, la poignée restait bloquée en position intermédiaire.

Séjour très agréable dans un appartement très joli et fonctionnel, idéalement situé près de la gare de Caen et cependant très calme. Très bon accueil également, communication facile avec le propriétaire.Je suis ravie et recommande vivement
