Playa Flamingo/Costa Rica Family trip

The property listed is amazing. Fabulous views, great location, beautiful sunsets. Highly recommend using this property. Management team is top notch. No issues at all with booking or stay. They are always available to assist and help coordinate your stay.

Magical family getaway in beautiful Flamingo!

Traveled to Costa Rica with our family of 5 - first trip! Chose beautiful Birds of Paradise Villa based on reviews and location recommendations. Absolutely stunning views, rooms were comfortable and clean, kitchen was well stocked, pool area was perfect for our crew. Karina and staff were helpful planning and providing information. Location was within a 10 min walk to the beach - difficult walk back UP to the house, but doable. Plenty of great restaurants within 10 - 15 mins. We rented a car and found that super helpful. Five stars across the board!!

Amazing home!

Our group had the absolute best time! Not one single complaint. Everything went super smooth. The house was amazing! Karina was the best of the best. Answered every question I had (and I had a lot) and helped make this trip a memorable one! Bertha was also super sweet and made the best breakfasts! We got Chef Rafael to cook our dinners and we are so glad we did! Best meals ever! We are missing CR already! Can't wait to go back! Don't think twice, book this house!

Playa Flamingo

Overall the home is amazing. Very clean, comfortable and good amenities. Karina is amazing and is available at a moments notice. She helped us with transportation, scheduling activities, recommendations of restaurants and areas to enjoy. The pool and outdoor areas at the home are amazing. Lots of room to relax and watch the sunset. The Playa Flamingo area is a great little area. The beach area is wonderful, clean and didn’t feel overly crowded. You definitely need a SUV or golf cart to get to and from the home. The home is on a hill next to the beach area and the road is very steep. Walking to and back from the beach would be a workout.

We couldn’t say enough good things about this property. Beautiful house with wonderful views. Each bedroom with private terrace, on suite bathrooms, lots of storage and comfortable beds were loved by all. The house was spotless and Karina was the best concierge. We will be back for sure!!!!

Paradise

We can't say enough about how amazing our visit was. The house was absolutely perfect! There was plenty of space and it was so comfortable. We were definitely spoiled by Karina and the housekeeping staff. They were so attentive and responsive. Karina did our grocery shopping for us and our breakfasts every morning from Fanny were so delicious. They kept the house cleaned each day and even did our laundry. Heather, the property owner, was also very responsive when we had questions. We were so glad we opted for a house instead of a resort. It was so nice to have room for our kids to spread at the end of the day and also space to gather together. The views are amazing from each room and we spent so much time in the pool and on the deck. We did wish we were a little closer to the beach. It is a bit of a hike down, which isn't bad, until you have to hike back up. It is steep, but doable. We still enjoyed plenty of beach time, but opted to drive down. We can't say enough good about this property and staff. Our stay was amazing!

Beautiful Home

House and views are stunning. All as presented on-line. A car is a must if you plan to go back and forth to the beach. We loved our stay here and will definitely go back. Karina is an angel and will Make sure your plans happen!

Amazing location and view!

Property was amazing! Great views! Karina was without a doubt the best concierge/manager we have ever encountered!!!! 6 stars for her. The area is much more laid back compared to Tamarindo. Really good experience. The nearby construction was noticeable but did not bother us. Just part of progress in a very desirable area. No problems with golf carts on big somewhat bumpy hill. We had no car and still easily got to Potrero and supermarkets. Shuttles can be arranged for further excursions. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful & Immaculate

What a gorgeous house - perched high with panoramic views from every room & just beautiful. The host was outstanding and so helpful, the house was spotless, and the extras (pool, kitchen, washers/dryers, etc) made this an outstanding choice for our fairly large group of 8. The location is good, but we used the golf cart as the walk to & from the beach area would be a challenge. Roads aren’t great and no taxi’s really in CR, so outings need ti be planned, but no issues and would definitely endorse this property - and exceptional host - every time

Fabulous!!!!!!

Pictures don’t do justice !! Karina and all staff as well as all people in town that she recommended were great !!! Beach concierge was amazing ! Thank you Fanny for taking care of our needs and Pablo for the golf cart. The villa is great and very spacious. Clean and super comfortable bedding, towels etc. We bbqd and enjoyed the pool ! Amazing views !! An SUV is a must as some roads are dirt roads and leading up to the villa there is some construction and unfinished road. If one travels with elders you need a golf cart or use your car to get to the beach. The villa is on the hill and for us was an amazing hike to and from the beach. Flamingo beach is one of the nicest in there area and super clean and not crowded. Best sunsets !!! Coco loco is a must !! Great food !! All the restaurants have great food !! Las Catalina’s is a must to visit. We loved the villa and will definitely come back !!!! One little remark , there is a building under construction next to the villa , so we didn’t appreciate the noise in the morning. Hoping it will be done by next holiday season !

Beautiful home with great service

The home was beautiful and perfectly clean. We spent lots of time on the porch soaking up the incredible views. The pool was lovely, and the beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay at this house again. The house manager and her team were fantastic, helping us along the way and scheduling great activities for us. She was so easy to work with, and made our stay even better. The only things to know are that this house is a hefty walk to the beach. The house is on a hill, so the walk back uphill is a good workout. It would be difficult to walk with small children or anyone struggling with mobility. The house is also accessed by dirt roads (like much of the area), so rent a car with good shocks and tires for your trip. You’ll likely be driving up and down the hill a lot.

Playa Flamingo Stay

I cannot say enough great things about our stay in Playa Flamingo! Communication leading up to our stay was great and Karina and the rest of the staff were so helpful and kind throughout our stay. Karina provided fantastic recommendations from dining, beaches, surfing, catamaran rentals, and transportation. Playa Flamingo is well located for day trip adventures or perfect for a very pristine/calm beach day just at the bottom of the hill. Just a short drive to nightlife in Tamarindo as well. The house was exactly as listed, great size, clean, well stocked with everything you need for a beach day and day trips out of the house or staying in. The views are incredible and perfect for watching the unforgettable sunsets in the pool. I do recommend splurging for a larger rental car with decent ride height (SUV or truck) as the side roads can be very bumpy all around Guanacaste.

Absolutely Incredible!!!

This villa was absolutely incredible! Exceeded our expectations! Beautifully decorated with stunning views from every room in the house - even from the pool! We were two families, both with teenagers, and the property fit our needs perfectly - separate bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. We loved that each bedroom had its own private balcony. The sunsets leave you breathless! The staff is spectacular! Karina, the house manager and personal concierge, took care of every single detail of our trip. She arranged for our rental car to be delivered to the villa, scheduled all of our Costa Rican adventures, made all dinner reservations, arranged for personal chef meals and had the refrigerator stocked for us upon arrival. She even had a calendar print out showing every detail/tour/reservation of our trip. Fanny made the most amazing Costa Rican breakfasts and Chef Rafael cooked the fish the boys had caught on their fishing trip - phenomenal! Karina scheduled massages for the girls by the pool one morning and they were so good that everyone scheduled one the day before we left. The location of the home in Playa Flamingo couldn't be better! Walking distance to our favorite beach (Playa Flamingo), close to great restaurants (we loved Coco Loco and Angelina's), close to grocery stores, perfect driving distance to Tamarindo for a day trip as well as the other direction for a day trip to Las Catalinas. The home/neighborhood is secure and private. There's no other way that we will visit Costa Rica again - we will most definitely be back to this villa!

Celebrating 60th birthday and 10 year anniversary

What an overall great experience starting with communication with the owner ( Heather) and property manager ( Karina). Spectacular views, great pool, excursions, beaches, breakfasts with Fanny, restaurants, and the great people of Costa Rica!!! House layout was perfect for the 9 of us! Karina and her team went above and beyond to ensure transportation was set up, changes to our itinerary to meet our needs, and resolution to any iconcerns that arose. PURA VIDA and mucho gracias to everyone we interacted with!

Amazing views!

Amazing property! Beautiful views (and porches)from every room! Even more beautiful in person. Very clean and very organized. Karina and her team were fabulous. She was so helpful with booking activities and arranging any extras we requested. She was even able to have a driver meet a member of our family at the airport with less than one hour notice. Beautiful soaking pool with infinity edge. Lots of space for a nine member family. A short five minute drive to Playa Flamingo. Too steep of a drive for walking but parking was easy and the beach was not very crowded.

Beautiful home, wonderful place to stay!

We just returned from a week long vacation at the villa and it was perfect! We were two families (7 people total) and we absolutely loved the house. The location in Playa Flamingo is perfect. It's a short walk to the beach and a short drive to many other beautiful beaches and sites nearby. Karina and team took such good care of us, from stocking groceries and dinner on the night of our arrival, to daily cleaning, to scheduling lots of fun activities for us. We'd love to return again someday. Highly recommend this property - home is absolutely beautiful and the service is stellar!
