The host was very welcoming and resourceful. The view was breathe-taking. Beds were comfy. Individual AC in every room was amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Wonderful house with a few issues but they were addressed right away. Communication was fantastic. I would ask for more detailed directions Google waa not accurate and tries taking us up an impassable road. I would recommend arriving in daylight! It was a fabulous house that met our needs and we would stay again.

The house is amazing and has many amenities and supplies that made us stay very comfortable. Would consider staying here again. Our only comment is they can improve upon instructions to operate the house.

The property is in a great area The house has amazing views, we had a great time even being there during the rainy season we still were able to see plenty of sights without getting wet. The house has plenty of room for a large family stay.

Family vacation

Nice quiet spot. As others mentioned it was a little tricky to find. Overall very clean, tho the hardwood floors needed a little attention. Perfect spot for our family of 13.

Better Than Expected

The property was great. We especially liked the three separate King Suites on the property. It provided a perfect stay for five adults who wanted their private quarters when preferred. Close proximity to three amazing beaches. I strongly recommend it.

A slice of heaven with an ocean view, the support staff went above and beyond to cater to our every whim and fancy (complete with local bull riders?!?), and no detail was left unattended. Clean, safe, dreamy… pura vida.

Our family had a magical experience at this lovely home, located in the jungle. Visits with the howler monkeys in the morning and evening, iguanas, birds and sounds in the distance, made our stay exceptional. Mariela was a huge help to us and Eduardo, who was our ride during our trip was a wealth of information. Only one issue, you are somewhat isolated and will need a car rental or as we did, hire Eduardo, who had a van that fit all ten of us, and took us wherever we wanted, including food shopping on the days we left the property or weren't at the beach, which is a lovely 20 minute walk to. Kitchen was spacious and well used by our family, pool was a big hit too. Highly recommend.

Fantastic house and location

Six adults stayed in this beautiful house which can easily accommodate more (we had three bedrooms that went unused). Having three separate primary "casitas" is the perfect layout for three couples. Each room featured a king bed and ensuite bathroom. The beach and the nature preserve are a short walk away. A meal at Big Mamma's is not to be missed. Highly recommend this beautiful house.

Paradise

We had an amazing time with the whole family. Such a beautiful home. Everything was spotless and had just about everything you would need for a wonderful vacation. We were able to see all sorts of animals around the property. It was a very unique and unforgettable experience. Mariela Jaen was very nice and accommodating. Thank you for everything!

Family time

We booked this 6 bedroom property for our family of 11 to get together. This property definitely needs updating, pool and deck area small for larger groups, some patio furniture needs replacing as well as some kitchen appliances. We certainly made the best of it. The property management company was very responsive to issues raised.

Spacious and gorgeous!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful, modern home! There was more than enough space for our multiple families, and it was conveniently close to local activities. The house was stocked with plenty of amenities, making our stay so comfortable. The kids had a blast with all the entertainment options, and we even had the exciting bonus of spotting howler monkeys nearby! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a spacious, fun, and memorable getaway! The only downside was the concierge service, which was a bit slow to respond and occasionally unreliable.

Anniversary Trip

We took an anniversary trip with 3 other couples & this house was perfect. Tons of space, nice big table for us to all enjoy meals together, comfortable bedrooms, lots of beach towels & good air conditioning! I would definitely recommend a 4x4 vehicle as the roads leading to the property are unpaved but it made for a fun adventure. The concierge service was truly amazing, they had all our excursions booked for us & had groceries waiting for us when we arrived. Anytime I had a question they were quick to respond and always so kind. We would definitely stay here again!

Graduation Celebration

We had a fantastic time during our week at Casa Brisas Del Mar. We were a group of 13 adults ranging in age 25-62. The layout of bedrooms was nearly perfect for our group. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed cooking and eating in the beautiful dining room. Mariela was very responsive to any questions we had. The view from the house is spectacular and the walk to a very nice beach was not bad at all! It was such a wonderful time and location to celebrate our daughter's graduation from law school.

Mountain view of the ocean

We had trouble getting to the property due to road construction but going thru Matapalo to get to the house was a good road even with rain the day we arrived. It was a bit confusing as to how to get into the compound but once we did it was great. Mariela arranged for a chef to cook dinner for us during our stay and a catamaran trip at nearby Marina Flamingo. Both were wonderful. We enjoyed some side trips but mainly relaxed visiting in the house or outside around the pool.

Somewhat dated villa, from the 60ties. Little to no space outside the villa. No space for children to play, pool is very narrow, only a table for four outside. The rear outside aera is not good for use, looks into garbage. View is nice, large inside table but not a comfortable lounge aera

Stunning Stay!

We loved the stay, gorgeous home, very helpful concierge service and you can't beat the view from the back of the house! Only gave 4 stars for location, because the roads to get to the house were extremely bumpy and 2 of my friends had back issues so it hindered them from getting out and about on the neighboring towns. We did ready the reviews for needing a 4x4 SUV, which we did get but the roads had literal craters and pools of water in them, it was like going off roading every time you left the house, so be prepared. I personally would stay there again though, worth the bumpy road adventure :)

Fantastic

Incredible property - great for large families or groups. The 3 separate suites were perfect for the couples in our group. Support staff were very responsive (Mario is an great asset!). Playa Minas, Conchal easily accessible, (3-5 minutes by car) & are wonderfully secluded. Minas rarely has any people on it so it was like having a private beach. The house is simply lovely, well designed, well built, very comfortable. Close to Tamarindo (15 min. by car) which makes shopping easy. Nice to be able to run into town but then return to the relative seclusion of Brisas. Great views, great house for a party.....Pura Vida Yall!

Fabulous house for family beach trip!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this expansive house. Plenty of room and huge, well-equipped kitchen. We did not mind the road as the house is totally worth it. Pool is awesome, linens and pillows immaculate. Fond memories of sitting around table together for meals. The puerto viejo beach was just our style. Quiet and calm and just 4 minutes drive or short walk from house. Lots to do right at this beach. We went horseback riding, arranged a tour and ate at the little beach restaurant. Ceviche there was very good. Low tide great for snorkeling as well. We have rented many houses in guanacaste for years and this was our favorite thus far. Thanks and hope to be back!

Mother Daughter week!

We had a wonderful time despite the weather not fully cooperating with us. The management team were great in helping us plan excursions. We went zip lining, sunset cruise and horse back riding (in the rain). The house itself was wonder and very spacious. The six bedrooms were very nice. We did have one room that somehow had a puddle of water every time it rained. Nothing that would ruin our experience. The wildlife was fun to see from our doorstep. 4 X 4 vehicle is a MUST. The road leading to the house was full of pot holes and ditches that were fun and a little nerve racking at first. All and all we had a great time and would stay here again.

Family Trip

We had a wonderful stay at the property and the area. There were 8 of us and we all had more than enough space. Mariela was very responsive any time needed. The biggest challenge was finding the house the first night as we were driving in the dark from Liberia airport and unfamiliar with the area. Waze (the only map that works in CR) led us down a very rough rural road. So if coming in from the east or northeast, make sure you go all the way to the town of Matapalo before going down the dirt roads. We dealt with a few bug issues, but completely expected it and it was nothing that hindered our stay. The howler monkeys came to say hello each day and Playa Conchal is a beautiful beach, as is Grande, and Flamingo. Thank you to Mariela and team for making our stay a great one.
