About this property

Private Stargazing Tent Hickory Hideaway – Peaceful Glamping with Fire Pit & Open Skies

Hickory Hideaway – A Rustic Glamping Retreat

Rooted in the strength of the hickory tree, Hickory Hideaway is styled with rich earth tones and the timeless character of a rustic study—warm, grounding, and inviting. This 19.5-foot tent offers 289 square feet of space with an 11-foot ceiling, creating an atmosphere that feels both open and intimate.

Stargaze from bed through transparent PVC skylight panels, with a sewn-in ceiling curtain you can clip closed for privacy or tie back to the night sky. Inside, you’ll find a king-size bed with premium linens and a twin futon, perfect for an additional guest or for lounging. Full climate control (A/C and heat) ensures comfort in every season, while a kitchenette adds convenience with a microwave, mini fridge/freezer, and coffee maker. Extra towels, blankets, and cutlery are provided.

With screened windows, a zippered door, and a 360-degree double sidewall system, you can customize airflow and privacy. Outside, enjoy your private fire pit with grill top, picnic table, and chairs, ideal for morning coffee or evening fireside meals.

Guests also have access to a clean, shared bathhouse with private showers and restrooms just a short walk away. A potable water spigot is nearby, and Wi-Fi is available at the bathhouse if needed.

Whether you’re seeking a rugged yet refined escape, a romantic retreat, or a quiet place to recharge, Hickory Hideaway offers earthy charm, comfort, and stargazing wonder in the Missouri Ozarks.

Everything was perfect and above our expectations, except for the stargazing. You couldn’t see well through the plastic roof of the tent, and there were a lot of lights around the property, hindering the darkness needed for stargazing. Of course the lights were very nice as far as enhancing the atmosphere and helping to light the pathways. The bathroom is a bit of a walk away, but not bad. It was clean and well-stocked, and we liked sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs when we needed to access WiFi. This location is quite remote and peaceful.
