My partner and I very much enjoyed our stay at Serenity Falls!
In terms of its location, it is both sufficiently remote from town without being so far that obtaining groceries in town is too difficult. It has a lovely yard with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the outdoors, while feeling fairly secluded (there is a house within view when the leaves are not out, but the house is situated such that it still feels very private).
The pictures do not do the interior of the cabin justice! Aesthetically, it has a wonderfully old-fashioned feel while still having the amenities one would expect in a modern cabin. The living space is open but cozy, with a charming interior balcony and wood paneling throughout. While the outdoor space is more yard than woods, lying in the main upstairs bedroom surrounded by windows that overlook trees gives one the feeling of sleeping in a treehouse (you can even see stars through them on a clear night!).
The kitchen is reasonably well-appointed and instructions for check-in and check-out were very clear. They have a "virtual concierge" (a screen in the kitchen with pertinent information) which, while a little out of place in the cabin itself, was at least easy to use.
All in all, a beautiful cabin in a choice location for accessing hikes in the area. We are very glad we stayed, and I definitely recommend giving this one a chance if you're looking for somewhere with an open yard, a charmingly old fashioned interior, and modern amenities.
