A true escape awaits you at Potter's Place, a beautiful and unique stone house perched on the shores of Eggemoggin Reach in Brooklin. This oceanfront property provides a glimpse of Midcoast Maine as it should be, offering direct access to a long and serene stretch of beach.
This private home sits just outside the villages of Brooklin and Sedgwick, on a landscaped property crossed with short trails leading to the shoreline. It's a lovely spot for basking in the beachfront setting, driving up to Blue Hill, or crossing Eggemoggin Reach to explore Deer Isle. Acadia National Park is well within day-tripping distance as well.
From the field stone exterior to the rear deck that runs the length of the house, this one-bedroom home is very much about its spectacular setting. Bring the provided chairs down to the beach in the mornings and come home in the afternoons to barbecue local seafood in the fresh ocean air.
The portion of the house available to rent is the remodeled main floor, where large windows and glass doors bring the ocean into the living room, kitchen, and bedroom. Enjoy an open, breezy layout that brings together the living room (with a smart TV), the country kitchen, and the dining area - a great space for homemade meals and after-dinner board games alike. One bedroom, a living room sleeper sofa, and high-speed WiFi are provided as well.
THINGS TO KNOW There is no washer/dryer. Please note that the fireplace is not for guest use. Only the main floor of the house is available to rent.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. No more dogs are allowed. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Great place for us.
We enjoyed our stay. Beautiful setting! Very quiet and secluded. Perfect for a couple and our dog! Very clean and a comfortable bed. The house was well cared for and all amenities were great. It is out of the way (like being in the country) so you need to drive some to get to things but we loved it. Would stay there again.

Great Views on the Water
We had a great stay in Brooklin. The rental unit was the first floor of this house and it was very nicely renovated. Everything we needed was there. Thank you.

Beachfront Getaway
I really enjoyed my stay in Brooklin. Our plans had changed and I had time to kill in Maine before the start of our usual vacation on Mount Desert Island. This place was perfect. Clean and comfortable, the small cottage was perfect for me or a couple. The views from the living room and porch go for miles across the Gulf of Maine to the nearby islands. The yard was filled with beautiful wild flowers and a maze (of sorts) had been bush-hogged which ultimately lead to two Adirondack chairs perched at the beach. I didn't see or hear anyone during our stay. There are rental buoys for boats. All in all, this is a perfect place for people who want to drop out and observe the beauty of Maine.
