Bears Den in Brighton, the perfect family vacation spot!

The Bears Den is an amazing lake house! More than amazing! Sindi has everything you need waiting for you! We really enjoyed the fire pit! So nice to have the family all together relaxing. The kids loved the bears that decorated the cabin. So many Bears! We were within an hr of so many places to visit. We went to Storyland, Conway Scenic Railroad, Cog Railroad on Mount Washington, Portland beaches, swam in the Soco river, enjoyed a beautiful scenic drive thru the New Hampshire White Mountains and even the Clarks Bear Show. My daughters and grandchildren are still raving how nice the cabin is. Our hosts made sure that all our needs were met. Check out the town of Brighton. You can find anything at Reny's. Beth's on the main street has the best omlets and oatmeal. Ate there twice. You also have to check out Cool Moose. A tee shirt shop in Brighton, Family owned since 1968. We all loved Bears Den and are planning to make a return trip soon!

Home away from home!

The Bears Den was the perfect launching pad for my exploration of Bridgton and surrounding communities while searching for my retirement home. My friend and I felt right at home in the well stocked kitchen. We arrived with plenty of groceries but it was nice to have spices, coffee filters and creamers already stocked for us!The home was comfortable and clean, and the three bedrooms are perfect size for families with children. The main living area and 1st floor "playroom" boast large screen TVs so that adults and kids can watch different programs at the same time!Having a washer and dryer on the first floor along with detergent was very convenient!The neighborhood where The Bears Den is located is quiet and serene. I loved waking up to early morning bird song and a cup of coffee on the back, screened deck!I highly recommend staying at this VRBO if ever in the Bridgton area!Thanks so much, Sindi

Wow !! Wonderful! Wicked good!

Best family friendly home from beginning to end !! What can I say the owners thought of everything plus some! Kids paradise! Dog heaven! After a cold icy winter we all enjoyed the spring skiing and pleasant mountain did not disappoint!! Great neighborhood for walking and playground for kids and views of mountains !! Hope to return!!

A lovely escape

What a wonderful stay! It is clear that the hosts put a great deal of thought and effort into the guest experience. The house was incredibly warm and welcoming and had everything you could imagine. In fact, it was the best equipped house I have ever rented! The kids enjoyed the books, toys, and games, as did the adults! The whole experience was just wonderful. We will definitely be returning!

We had a wonderful weekend at the Bear’s Den!

The Bear’s Den is a delightful home and we loved every minute of our stay. The owners really leaned into the bear theme, there are bears everywhere in a really delightful way. The firepit out back was the perfect spot to relax and hangout as a group. The lake that we had access too was beautiful! Our trip was in the fall and it was chilly but we couldn’t resist some fishing and kayaking/paddlebording at the lovely spot. We also appreciated that there was a good size deck on the front as well as a screened in porch on the back.The house has everything you could want and we really enjoyed our stay.

Fun at the Bear's Den

This property is one of the cleanest and most stocked, well-planned out rental that we have stayed in. The owners have put a lot of thought into little details (like automatic stair tread lights) and have made sure the renters would not be in need of a thing; there was a variety of shampoo/soaps/medical items, ingredients for s'mores and plenty of wood, the kitchen had every gadget and appliance as well as coffee/tea//creamer/sugar. The welcome binder was helpful and clear. Owners were quick to welcome us beforehand and quick to respond with any questions. Easy check in and out. Great location and neighborhood. The property is lovely and cozy, as is the house. Their effort to welcome kids was certainly noticed and the kids enjoyed the games, toys, night lights, bath bubbles. Highly recommend because you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic Rental

Loved the accommodations. This is by far the cleanest, best stocked rental property we’ve stayed at. The hosts thought of everything and staged the home for a very welcoming check-in. Thank you…..wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Amazing Vacation!

My family and I just returned from a five night stay at the Bear’s Den. It was hands-down, the best vacation we’ve experienced as a family. There were Eight of us between the ages of eight and 68.

Great stay at the bears den

We loved this house. It was fully stocked, comfortable and spotless. Plenty of space and plenty to do on the property. Great communication and a very thoughtful welcome gift. We hope to return to Bridgton and stay at the bear’s ben again!

Relaxing Vacation

My family and I had a wonderful experience at the Bear’s Den. Our children loved all the games and toys through the house! We enjoyed the campfire and comfy outdoor space. We had plenty of space and all the necessities we needed! Great communication with the owners and an easy process overall! We can’t wait to come back next summer!

Perfect Family Stay

Accommodating is the main word to describe this property. Everything you needed was at The Bear Den, and everything you didn’t think you needed. Our kids ages 6, and 9) didn’t want to leave. It’s a cozy, comfy retreat that is just absolutely perfect for your family visit to Bridgton. Will be booking again!

Bridgeton Boys Reunion

40 years ago we all met and spent many winters and summers in Knights Hill Maine. Our parents owned vacation homes and we would travel to Knights Hill for weekends, school vacation weeks, summers. We were all from different towns in Massachusetts; Beverly, Braintree, Walpole. It was the late 1970s through the 1980s. No cell phones low tech, good clean fun! Our trip to the Bears Den was our second of what will not doubt be many reunions. We are older now, gray haired (those that still have their hair that is) but no less hardcore, still a very tight fun loving group. We very much enjoyed the accommodations, clean, warm excellent in every way. It was a perfect setup for our group of 7. Ample bedding, great outdoor firepit, a grill. Nothing additional needed, truly turn key. Sindi and Doug are awesome!!! The Bears Den is best in class for a weekend or longer getaway! Thank you so much for helping make our weekend a success!
