"We stayed at Montauk Manor the week before Memorial Day. The weather was beautiful, and we did a lot of hiking in the area, but one of my favorite trails is right behind the hotel. If you walk behind the tennis courts, it opens up into a trail around the Fort Hill Cemetery and there is an abundance of wildlife there, including families of turkeys. It was migration season and the grounds around the parking lot were also full of birds and deer and landscaped beautifully. The manor has a shuttle that takes you where you want to go locally if you do not have a car and they will pick you up from the train. My husband enjoyed the pool, sauna, and hot tub. There is a wonderful restaurant right inside the hotel if you do not want to go out to dinner. The only issue we had was that there were flies and ants that somehow got inside our room and died, but I suppose that means they keep up with extermination."
