Great view up on the second floor
The owner of the unit was very nice and helpful through online connection. He sent a new coffee machine and added a toaster for us. The rental property has an incredible view of the Pigeon Islands and the Jacques Cousteau Marine Reserve, and is well located, close to Malendure Beach as well as the N2 and D23 highways. The unit itself is very large and spacious, however it has a ‘unfinished cottage’ feel to it, with for example a 1/2 inch gap between the bedroom’s sliding doors and exterior wall, allowing insects and small frogs to enter the building. Also, the on-site contact , not the owner, is sometimes helpful and sometimes unfriendly. She sent me an unkind message after we left because we didn’t clear garbage away. It was sad because we weren’t told we had to. More details need to be given. Unfortunately, some of these factors make the stay a bit uncomfortable for folks unaccustomed to the island.
