This hotel is a gem. From updated facilities to available hot tubs and an excellent buffet breakfast everything was just right. We would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous hotel, fabulous staff, amazing breakfast, delicious dinner (expensive but what isn’t in Iceland) Only complaint is the hot tubs were VERY gross - lots of stuff floating around. Otherwise amazing stay would definitely go back

The gentleman at the reception desk offered to knock on our door if the northern lights made an appearance. That way we didn’t need to stay awake into the night for no reason. He knocked - and we were not disappointed! Thank you!

The interior design is nice, but the washroom is very small. The soundproofing is also lacking—we kept hearing doors shutting throughout the night, even at midnight and early in the morning. Breakfast is just okay, and overall, the hotel could use a lot of improvement.

Nice hotel but....

On the positive, this hotel seems quite new and is very clean. Customer service was not as good. Additionally, while they had hot tubs, you have to pay to use a robe and towel for the hot tubs. If I had to do again, I might have just drove and stayed in Borgarnes. We picked this hotel because it was closer to the lava cave and glacier tours we were taking the following day.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable despite a blizzard outside. The restaurant was one of the best meals we had from two weeks in Europe. The hot tub in the freezing cold was a great experience! Finally the Schnauzer in the lobby was adorable. Great stay and I wish it were longer!

Clean, amazing breakfast, kind and friendly staff. Room was a little small, and blankets could have been softer, and the showers could use a door, rather than being open to the rest of the bathroom and causing water to leak all over the floor, but besides that it was a pleasant stay, beautiful area around the hotel, and very clean and high class hotel. I’d recommend.

Wonderful hotel

The hotel was beautifully designed. The restaurant has a 360 degree view of the surrounding mountains. The view from our room was fantastic well. We weren’t there long enough to experience additional facilities. The man and woman at the desk when we checked in were very helpful in trying to help us track down a lost wallet and they even let us borrow a flashlight. The bed was comfortable. My only complaint is that the sink is very small so water got splashed when I was washing my face. However this is pretty standard in Iceland so I won’t deduct any stars for that small annoyance. Breakfast was good and they had great coffee. We saw the northern lights. Overall great stay.

The most wonderful location! Quaint and Quality are the words I would use to describe this hotel. Boutique style. Staff was excellent, friendly and extremely knowledgeable of area. Mikki the dog was a lovely surprise and super cute. Food both for breakfast (included with room) and dinner were expertly prepared. We watched the Northern Lights from our bed and then took photos in the parking lot and all around the grounds. Loved the hot tubs!! Would return and stay again. Highly recommend

This property did not live up to my expectations- I expected it to be much nicer based on pics and reviews. Not only were the bathrooms small (as mentioned in many other reviews) but the sinks were so tiny and so low, and at such an odd angle, that it was impossible to wash my face without my feet and the floor getting soaked. There was no counter space in the bathroom. Unfortunately, we stayed there on a rainy day, and it just wasn’t the type of room. You really wanted to spend a lot of time in. On a positive note, we did have dinner there one evening, and it was excellent, both the food, the service, and the setting.
