House doesn’t live up to its name

Positives, then negatives. Positives: The house is in a great location in Bluffton, with close proximity to the town, restaurants, and less than 25 minutes to Hilton Head beaches. There is a great park about a block away that was great to walk our dogs to. The host was quick to respond to questions and concerns. Negatives: House with a view is misleading. There is a garage structure blocking the view of a small lake. The online listing said there was a hot tub, which was one of the reasons I chose this property. There was no hot tub. Very disappointed! The cleanliness was also lacking. Both shower curtains were moldy and dirty. Several of the pans in the kitchen were not clean and had dried on food stuck to them. Kitchen supplies were lacking and more had to be requested from the host. Overall, more attention needs to be paid to the house’s cleaning and maintenance.

Weekend Stay

Overall the condition of the home is good. The owner was responsive to questions. The subdivision the house is in is very nice and good for walks. However, driving just outside the sub is a different story. It does not appear to be very safe. The one major complaint is the parking. At the time of booking nothing was said as to where I was to park. It wasn't until 2 days before arriving that I was told I had to park on the street across from the house. The 2nd option was in the driveway of the garage which was behind the house that someone else was staying at (which was also not disclosed). When I arrived the spot on the side of the street was open but immediately the owner of the home came out and was walking around the yard. As soon as I unpacked and left for some errands he pulled his car in that spot and I had to go to option #2. The other slots on the street were always full which made me go to option #2. If I had known of the parking arrangements I would have thought twice about booking.

Super clean & comfortable

Hubby & I enjoyed a weekend in Bluffton, visiting family & celebrating a birthday. We had our two small dogs with us. Jeanette was kind & responsive. The house was super clean, had everything we needed, was quite comfortable & exactly as advertised. Very easy check in & check out. Thanks so much for hosting us! Hope to stay again in the future.
