Family stay for nearby wedding venue

We booked this for our family to stay close to a wedding venue. The house was great - super clean, very clean and well stocked. The pool and patio was an excellent place to gather. The kitchen is so well stocked and a huge dining table made meals so nice. The beds, linens, and everything was so wonderful, would love to come back another time. The owner was super responsive and so nice to deal with. The house and property made a special weekend even better. Will plan to come back another time.

Great Country Retreat

Our annual Family Vacation was a great success and the Luxury Ranch Retreat was the perfect location! Loved the pool, fishing lake and huge dining room table. Our host was so helpful and quick to respond to our questions. Highly recommend this beautiful country stay.

Wedding weekend

Country home. Great fishing. Porch swing paradise. Pool was cool. Kitchen stocked. Grill works. Carport! Lots of pool toys and we added four super soaker guns to the mix. This the country. Don’t come here if you’re scared of bugs and spiders. Like I said it’s the country. Rules mentioned you could pre-approve extra guests. We asked and were denied. I would just suggest to take that out of info. Cupboards stocked with LOTS of glassware and dishes if you aren’t a paper plate vacationer. No shoes inside house. Floors are concrete and again there are bugs. So this is a struggle. King suite bed and full room mattresses very firm. I didn’t ask about other rooms. We look at reviews often and appreciate real reviews. And this house is one of the more expensive houses we’ve been in. We had a great time. It’s so peaceful. And the porch swing in the morning was amazing. Our boys caught and released a lot of fish in the front pond. Come and get unplugged. Internet and phone service was iffy.

Jane and Will have a fabulous property. We were there to celebrate our 50 wedding anniversary with our kids and grandkids. The house is extremely well stocked in all areas. They have thought of every thing to make your stay comfortable. They provide plenty of beach towels as well as bath towels. There was a nice variety of spices, condiments and pantry items in the kitchen. Pool is very nice with plenty of floats/noodles and rafts to use. They have a nice assortment of games for the family to play. We used all the beds and everyone said they were comfortable which made for great sleeping at night. Jane was quick to respond with questions I had. Our family had a great time fishing and caught many good sized large mouth bass. We took our own rods/tackle -but there are a couple of rods that worked well for our nine y/o grandson. Two of our sons used the kayaks and had a great time fishing. The geese were fun to watch. The property overall is well maintained and in a peaceful area. Was nice to sit around the pool at night and see the stars. If you want a place to unwind with family -this is it!

Family time

We enjoyed every moment of our stay. The house was beautiful, clean, and very welcoming. Our family had so much fun fishing during the day followed by a family dinner that accommodated all 11 of us. Looking forward to booking again in the summer time

Wedding Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful well appointed home. The house was very well stocked and the host was great with communicating The online description was exactly as stated. We rented the home to be close to the Grand Ivory for a family wedding. It was only a few minutes away from the venue just as described which made easy access back and forth. We also stayed a few days longer to enjoy the outdoors and a little fishing which was great. Would definitely go back and spend time here. Thanks !

Ideal Location for events at The Grand Ivory

For a family reunion of siblings attending a nephew's wedding at The Grand Ivory, Cross Creek Ranch & Retreat was the ideal location. The host, Jane, responded to our inquiries before we arrived and continued communicating with us all during the process. The large home is well-decorated with luxury bed linens and towels. With 11 in our group, we fit around the custom-built dining table. A long wooden board supplied was ideal for our lunch charcuterie grazing buffet! Jane provided farm-fresh eggs for our arrival, which prompted us to have a good country breakfast the next morning! Everyone loved swimming and playing in the pool, as well as fishing from the well-stocked ponds. On the immaculate Ranch grounds, there are plenty of activities for your whole group. We all highly recommend this property!

Wonderful Family Retreat

This home was a perfect retreat for our family to spend our son’s wedding weekend. The home was immaculate upon arrival and beautifully decorated. The beds were very comfortable and cozy. We enjoyed the beauty from the front and back porches. It was peaceful and relaxing to sit outside and enjoy the scenery while listening to the waterfall in the pool. The host was very responsive to any questions we had. In addition the home was 3 miles from our wedding venue the Grand Ivory.

Great country property!

This property was great for our family stay for a wedding weekend! The property and house was exactly as described and the owner was a joy to work with. I just wish we had booked another night or two to relax and decompress after all the wedding festivities. The next time I need a getaway weekend less than an hour from the DFW area, I will not hesitate to book this property again!

Very nice place

We stayed that the Ranch for our son’s wedding. Our son’s wedding was about 20 mins away from the house. The process of getting checked in was easy and the house was just as described. The home owner was very good with communication. We had 1 small issue and she was on it. Very accommodating. I would highly recommend staying with at this house.

Family Gathering

We celebrated our Mom’s 90th birthday. The home was beautiful and comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. The setting was gorgeous! We weren’t able to use the pool and outdoor activities due to rain and cold weather, but we still enjoyed our stay immensely.

The perfect location to gather for my dads memorial service

The house and property was perfect. Plenty of room for all of us to spread out. The teenagers had a ball fishing and kayaking. Too cold to swim but loved laying by the pool with a book. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and there were groceries available just a short drive down the road. The host was more than accommodating to all my questions as we were booking this from several states away.

Wonderful Family Home

Our family stayed here for a few days to celebrate my son's wedding at a local wedding venue. This home was absolutely a perfect get-away for our family to spend some quiet time together during the many wedding events. The home was so clean and extremely well stocked with anything we needed. The host was responsive to questions and an absolutely wonderful host - even leaving us a basket of fresh farm eggs. I would not hesitate to come here again and would highly recommend for large families - the large kitchen and living area was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay immensely!

Wedding at Grand Ivory

Being only 3 miles from the Grand Ivory makes this home the perfect choice for future wedding parties. Not only is the home beautiful, but also spacious and homey. For our family, location was key. Not having to travel 30-45 min back and forth allowed for quality family time.

Perfect Stay!

We booked this location for the convenience to The Grand Ivory for our son’s wedding. It was a beautiful home and nothing disappointed. The beds were great and the bunk beds worked well for the teens. The two master bedrooms made it perfect for our crew. Jane, the owner, was amazing and communicated well with us. My only regret is that we didn’t stay during the warm months to enjoy the pool. Highly recommend and would love to return for a girls weekend.

Our Son’s Wedding weekend!

This beautiful house was the perfect place to have our wedding party stay for our sons wedding at Davis and Grey Farms! It had plenty of comfy beds for our family to sleep and also Beautifully decorated living room space to hangout and visit between activities ! The back is beautiful and a nice place to set outside! Daughter’s wedding

If you are attending an event at the Grand Ivory then this property is PERFECT for you! It is so convenient to go back and forth from the venue and with 5 bedrooms it’s great for a large family.
