Deer Hollow • Hot Tub, Creek Access & Wraparound Porch near the Toccoa River

A quiet two-bedroom cabin in the woods of Blue Ridge’s Aska Adventure Area, less than a mile from the Toccoa River and world class trout fishing. Watch deer from the rockers on the wraparound porch, soak in the hot tub under the trees, and end the night at the fire pit or by the gas fireplace. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, so two couples or a family both get privacy. You’ll hear Pigeon Creek from the porch, and our private creek frontage is a short walk across a quiet gravel road.

The space

Outside, the covered wraparound porch has rocking chairs, a dining table for six and the hot tub, all looking into the woods. We keep a deer feeder in the lower yard, so bring your morning coffee or evening glass of wine out for some wildlife watching. Deer come by most days. Wild turkeys and hummingbirds are regulars too. There’s a fire pit with Adirondack chairs, plus a Weber charcoal grill and a Blackstone griddle on the back porch.

Inside: an open living, dining and kitchen area under vaulted pine ceilings, with a gas fireplace and a 50" smart TV. The kitchen is fully stocked (guests regularly mention the spices, cookware and coffee setup), so you can cook real meals. Central A/C and heat.

Bedrooms: two large bedrooms on opposite ends of the cabin, each with its own en-suite bathroom and closet. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed; Bedroom 2 has two queen beds and a full bed. Sleeps 6.

Also here: a laundry room with a washer, dryer and a second fridge/freezer; fast Wi-Fi; board games, puzzles and books for rainy days; and a pack-and-play with sheets plus a high chair for little ones.

The creek: we own 130 ft of Pigeon Creek frontage, a short walk across our quiet gravel road. Bring a chair and a book, or let the kids wade in on a warm afternoon.

The neighborhood

About 25 minutes to downtown Blue Ridge and 25 minutes to downtown Blairsville, and less than a mile from the Toccoa River, for tubing, fly fishing and kayaking. You’re close to numerous hikes, local wineries, horseback riding and boating on Lake Blue Ridge. Dahlonega, Amicalola Falls and Helen make easy day trips.

Other things to note

Cell service is limited at the cabin, but the Wi-Fi is fast and reliable. Download directions before you head up the mountain.

The road in and driveway are gravel. Most cars handle it fine, but take it slow, especially after rain or snow.

Reaching the creek means crossing a gravel road, so please keep an eye on children.

Maximum 6 guests. No pets. The primary renter must be 24 or older.

We have recommendations and itineraries for short or longer trips; just ask!

This property had everything we needed and more! From all the kitchen stuff to extra spices and dry ingredients to aluminum foil lol. There were extra towels for the river and hot tub. The guide was helpful as to what places to visit. It was close to several local hiking spots. The hot tub was amazing. We just thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Fabulous cabin!

The cabin was beautiful! If you are looking to relax and enjoy nature this is the place to be. We were able to sit in the porch and watch the deer and turkey each morning and evening. On our last day, we had 8 deer and 4 turkey come by to eat and bid us farewell.

What a great cabin!

Good beds, very clean, positive communications with responsive landlord, good location - it met all our requirements for a great stay, and then some. The owner clearly has experience staying in rental cabins, as pretty well everything that is lacking, or that bugs me, from over 30 years of vacationing in other places, has been thought of here. Loved all of the comfy rocking chairs on the big porch and enjoyed watching the deer feed in the evenings, wrapped in the snuggly blankets. This was a good location for our leaf-peeping needs. And a good value, too.

Peaceful and serene

Spacious cabin with all the amenities! Wrap around porch with ample rocking chairs to enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the woods and watch the deer and wild turkeys that come feed in the hollow. Short walk to creek with a nearby swing to sit and enjoy the sound of the water rushing over the rocks. Nature's music soothing the soul. The road up to driveway was steep but our truck made it up with no problem. Weber grill and Blackstone Griddle made meals a fun time! Didn't realize how rural it was when booking but so worth it. About a 30min drive to Blue Ridge on winding roads but we mostly stayed at the cabin and took pleasure in our surroundings. If you're looking to escape and just chill, this is the place. Would definitely come back again!

Wonderful place to stay

Our family of 6 with kid’s ranging from 5 -17 years old stayed her for our Spring Break. This was perfect for us! The cabin was very clean and stocked with plenty of EVERYTHING we needed plus more (plenty of towels, dishes/utensils, garbage bags, toilet paper, dish soap etc). Games for the kids, blackstone grill for cooking, WIFI (was great as many places in mountains have poor cell service), and open layout of home were also things we loved. The cabin is located near fishing, hiking trails, waterfalls, and several rivers/creeks. Our family enjoyed trout fishing in creek near the National Fish Hatchery, hiking to Benton Falls, Amicolola Falls and the Swinging Bridge. We also explored downtown BlueRidge and went to Swan Drive-In.(I would recommend using the Visit Blue Ridge App as it will list things in area to do along with guest book provided by host) The hosts were very sweet and responsive and checking in and out was super easy. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

The cabin was amazing! They even provided additional needs for us like laundry detergent, bug spray, and sun screen. I would rate this property a 100 if I could! It was very well taken care of! We will definitely be back! It was a little drive to the main town, but for a quiet 4th of July weekend, it was absolutely prefect! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

The property was fantastic. Great views of a creek bottom with turkey and deer. Everything you need is provided. Hot tube was clean and refreshing. 25 minutes to Blue Ridge and a little closer to Blairsville. Host responded quickly to concerns about steep driveway. I made it with an F-150. I just went to the 2nd cabin, turned around and made it easily up. Would definitely come back.
