Property was in poor overall condition. Numerous burned out light bulbs, tv didnt work, broken blinds, messy patio, etc. Property is managed by "Vacasa" who do not take care of customer concerns. Vacasa did respond to a couple messages, but didnt fix any of the actual problems, and then ghosted. There's no point in having a property manager if they dont do anything. Entry requires a 10 digit code to be entered in a certain (ie quick) way, which is quite hard. There is no key for the property, and they wont bring one either. There are multiple steps (stairs) in the unit that werent mentioned (1 person in our party is semi-disabled).

Comfortable stay

We wanted to explore a new place while we visited family. The property managers were quick to get ahold of the place was well stocked, clean, and comfy. The area is such a cute area with the beach across the street. 100% would stay here again.

Birch Bay visit

In town for a wedding up in Maple Falls and this was a great little fit for our family. The condo was easy to get to and checking in was easy. Everything was clean and there were plenty of towels and kitchen items for all our cooking needs. If I had to critique, I’d say the mattress could be more comfy, but for a couple of nights it will do. We would definitely stay here again!

The location was great, pool/hot tub were great, once we could figure out how to access the pool (key fob was not labeled or easy to find). Unit only had two sets of towels for six guests. And nowhere to hang towels to dry. Toys and games were fun for kids, and kitchen was decently supplied. Bunk beds were quite wiggly, and that room could use a dark curtain.

The unit was nice but bedrooms cramped.

The best part of the unit was the kitchen, dining room, living room. Lots of room, big table, and plentiful dishes and utensils The bedrooms were cramped, no place for clothes, small windows. It would be good to have a better idea of the surroundings ahead of time, at least the building number.

Dirty and Noisy

Dirty rugs in master bedroom & living room. All 4 burners on electric stove were rusted and covered in debris, only 1 of the 2 tv's worked, constant problems with slowness of internet, propane tank was empty, sliding glass door was stuck and could not close (called property manager) and after waiting hours and it was cold outside) my husband fixed it himself, appliances are old and loud. There is a funky smell, and we used air fresheners a good bit. Could not open the door for ventilation because of temps in the 40's. Practically no space for storing clothes or belongings.The unit is loud because it is near a parking lot and it is under a set of wooden stairs. These stairs are the only entry/exit for upstairs units. It was Spring Break and the complex was busy. Constant parade of guests going up and down the stairs.There is no fireplace. I searched the VRBO website and App for a unit with a fireplace. This unit came up. It is also listed twice on the amenities page. Fine print at bottom of page says it is not working. According to Housekeeping it has not worked in a good while. Please stop listing as an amenity because this is misleading.Bathroom has a new Toto Toilet. That was nice.

Great location, but very musty

Pros: 1. The location is great. You are just a short walk to the water; it has a pool; and there are alot of toys/ games for the kids. Also, plenty of extra towels and linens.2. The property managers were very helpful when there was a mix up about getting into the building (my fault).Cons: 1. The house is very musty/ moldy smelling inside. The first night it was over powering and several of us woke up not feeling great. We aired it out the next day and that helped some, but not a great place for those sensitive to mold. 2. The wifi did not work during our stay (we did not reach out to them to fix it). 3. There are zero instructions left for you. My husband had to drive around to find the pool. A sheet with some info would be very helpful! We will not stay here again because of our mold sensitivity, but it does have a lot of potential. Hopefully, they will address the mold soon.

Family Getaway

If you are looking for a well stocked family getaway this is the place for you! Everything from high chairs and pac n’ play to games and wine glasses! The amenities at Jacobs Landing are fantastic, we really enjoyed the pool and walking on the beach front!

Birch Bay Weekend Getaway

What a great location in beautiful Birch Bay. A minute to the water, 2 minutes to the coffee shop. Had. A lovely supper in the water at Semiahmoo Resort just a short jaunt away.

Good location

Overall stay is good. Place is convenient with easy access to food, supermarket, and I5. Would be great if the floor board in toilet be repainted to get rid of bad water stains and toilet door is clean of dust .

Very happy with our stay!

I was not sure what to expect since it was cheaper than I normally pay and a smaller condo. It ended up being perfect for my kids and I. The place was very clean, bigger then I expected with the perfect layout and had everything we needed plus more. I would totally recommend this place to anyone, especially with kids. The place is very kid friendly with toys, games, and books for the kids among other things for kids/infants. I would 100% stay there again, very convenient to everything!

Spring break

House had everything we needed. Towels, linens, and shower curtain were fresh. Britta pitcher was a plus. Coffee maker had an odd shape that didn't match the standard filter size so that's was a little tricky. The paper towels and toilet paper were the magical scratchy dissolving kind but not a deal breaker 😂 The rug in the master and the couch were a little dingier than I'd prefer but everything else felt clean. Great value, cute, would stay again!

Girl's Trip

Nice layout, comfortable beds and a well appointed kitchen. There was coffee, salt and pepper left for us, which we appreciated but it would have been a nice touch to have a small creamer, cone filters to fit the coffee machine, and a welcome binder to explain how to use the 4 TV clickers, and where to find the pool fob. Overall, we had a wonderful stay

Beautiful Beachside Stay

Immediately upon checking in, the views were amazing. The beach is just across the street, the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, and the place is great. Our only gripe is that not all of the dishes were clean and the ceiling fans are very dusty. Other than that, it was perfect! I would definitely book this place again and visit Birch Bay in the future.

We liked the booking process, email communication, keyless entry, grilling area, overall the space is very comfortable and the layout is great. The sofa could use a wipe down, headboard needs to be dusted and unfortunately the hot tub was not available. Overall we loved this location and look forward to returning in the near future.
