Begheynhof Guesthouse - Your Perfect Getaway

This cozy, rural vacation home in the Zeeuws-Vlaanderen polders is fully equipped with every comfort for an unforgettable stay. The vacation home is situated on private grounds with a wide variety of biking and hiking trails in the immediate vicinity.
Gasthof Begeynhof is the ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle. Don’t hesitate—come discover this place.

On the grounds of this rural, culturally and historically significant farmhouse dating from 1852, you’ll find the former pigsty, which has been completely transformed into a delightful vacation home for two people. The old, characteristic features have been preserved, giving the cottage a warm atmosphere.

From this vacation cottage, you’ll enjoy a fantastic view of the meadow that belongs to the property and the polders beyond. It’s a unique base for exploring the area by bike, on foot, or by car. Prefer to spend a day doing nothing and enjoying the peace and nature? No problem—there’s plenty of space on the large property to find a lovely spot in the sun or shade and lose yourself in a book or your own thoughts.

Another nice touch of a stay in this lovely vacation home is the friendly menagerie. Meet Juul, for example—the sweetest, slightly headstrong Haflinger who, along with the sheep, loves to say hello from the pasture. There are also two cats, the geese, and the chickens, who happily scratch around the yard and usually come over to take a curious peek at who’s staying in the cottage. And finally, there’s the owl that has its own little home in the big barn. If you’re lucky, you’ll see him flying in the evening.

The cottage is tastefully decorated and suitable for stays throughout the year. It features underfloor heating, and with the swiveling wood-burning stove, it’s a cozy spot to spend the colder days with your loved one.

Inside the cottage, you’ll find a well-equipped kitchen with modern appliances. The compact bathroom features a luxurious rain shower and sink. There is also a separate toilet. Thanks to the well-thought-out layout and design, the sleeping area is practically separated from the living area. This makes optimal use of the space while allowing the cottage to retain its open character.

Beautiful, colorful flower beds surround the cottage, making the outdoor area a delightful place to relax.

There are plenty of things to do in the surrounding area. These range from beautiful walks or bike rides in nearby nature reserves such as De Braakman, the flooded lands of Saefthinge, Waterdunen, or the Zwin, to indulging in fine dining at one of the many restaurants in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. Culture and history abound in our region, so be sure to visit the picturesque village of Groede, the harbors and beaches in Breskens or Cadzand, or cross the border to visit our southern neighbors in Bruges, Ghent, or Antwerp.
