About this property

Skyline Lodge, Gorgeous Setting, Walk to Downtown!

From this beautiful Lodge style home, walk in minutes down Galveston Avenue Corridor to downtown Bend. This spectacular home is on an acre of private land at the base of Overturf Butte. The entire lot is covered in beautifully manicured grass with apple, plumb, peach trees and access to a wonderful vegetable garden in summertime. The back yard is fenced with an enormous hot tub and patio for sunny morning breakfasts and afternoon barbecues.

The home has 6 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, private outdoor hot tub, soaking tub, gas fireplace and dual heating and air conditioning units. With 4 king sized beds and 3 queen sized beds, the home can sleep up to 14 comfortably. There are also 2 twin beds in the Rec. room upstairs for children or single adults. The gourmet, country style kitchen is open to the living area with a breakfast nook and small eating bar. You won't have look twice to find what you need as the kitchen is stocked with every utensil you could imagine. I have been running my other vacation home the Riverfront Lodge here in Bend for 10 years now and I know how important it is to have a supper clean and well stocked house for my guests to enjoy.

You can get on your bike or one of the 5 mountain bikes I supply at the house and head up the bike path which starts at the house to Phil's trail head just minutes away or go right down Galveston Ave. to your favorite restaurant or pub or continue through Drake Park along the Deschutes river to iconic downtown Bend. You can enjoy a nice hike right from the house along the Parks and Rec. trail that leads you up Overturf Butte which starts just next to the property.

There is a 55 inch HD TV with blue-ray player in the living room downstairs and a 50 inch HD TV with blue-ray player in the rec room upstairs. Two bedrooms also have TV's. There is a large comfortable sectional couch in the rec room and many cozy couches and chairs in the living area along with a large dining room table and chairs. There is parking for up to 6 vehicles, 3 in the garage and 3 in the driveway.

I could go on and on, but the place speaks for itself. Please just take care of it, enjoy your stay and come back and visit us again!!!

It was an utterly delightful stay. 14 of us from all over the USA. Close to everything including Mt Bachelor where many of us skied. Everything is close, sight seeing/hiking, shopping and a very comfortable house. The house is a bit dated, but quite solid. Four bathrooms were great. A kitchen supplied with everything needed. We cooked most dinners at the house. Lunch was kind of on your own. Two coffee pots supplied which we used every day. Quiet neighborhood and a great hiking trail right along the house with a nice barrier fence protecting privacy. Wonderful hot tub. I highly recommend. Thank you Doug.

This was a great property! We were in town for our daughter’s wedding! We had lots of family in and out of the house! The back yard was a dream! The kids loved to play outside, the location was so close to everything! The house was well stocked for cooking, grilling and there was PLENTY of room for all of us! We loved our morning visitors! This house worked perfect for our management retreat of 8 people. Plenty of sleeping accommodations and room/bathroom space for everyone. Kitchen was very well stocked for meals in. Backyard was amazing for yard games and hanging out (they had corn hole). Ping pong in the garage, lots of outdoor seating and hot tub proved to be great hang out activities. The location in the Sklyine neighborhood on Bend’s west side was safe, has great walking/running trails, is close to many wonderful eateries and is a wonderful jumping off point for/close to all of the popular tourist activities. Though this house could benefit from a refresh it was clean and perfect for our crew. Communication from owner was great. I would highly recommend this home for large groups.

Great spot!

The yard was incredible - so huge and well maintained! The kitchen was well stocked with all the cookware and dishes we needed. Plenty of room for our large friend group to have a girls weekend away! The trails in the neighborhood were so nice for morning walks.

Family reunion and This home was the right choice for our family reunion. The only main level bathroom had a tub and shower that was NOT accessible for anyone with mobility issues at all (no grab bars, or any features that would assure safety standing in, or getting in and out of the tub).

Golf Trip

I traveled to Bend with a few college friends for a golf trip. This property is the perfect setting with 7 bedrooms and one rec room with additional beds. We all had our own space which was great. Plus, hot tub, grill and ping pong table gave us plenty of enjoyment. Only downside is the walk to restaurants and bars is about 15 minutes and up hill going back. If walking to town is a priority- you might pick something closer. Otherwise, this was the perfect location for a trip with friends to Bend. I’ll stay there again in the future. Thanks Doug!

Perfect in every way!

We had a group of all adults for the weekend. it's always hard when you have adults because typically some rooms are designed for children but these rooms were perfect. Every room is a good size and there's plenty of bathrooms and just so much space. The main Gathering area is open concept. The women enjoyed waking early and snuggling on the couches with coffee. The hot tub is good size. The yard is so well maintained. The location was close to everything. If I had to say one thing not positive, the only thing is we were not left any sponge to wash dishes, but honestly, it wasnt even that big of a deal. This house was everything I hoped it would be and I would definitely book it again!
