Room lighting was so poor that even with all lights on it was not possible to read. Bathroom liquid soap was horrid - hard to foam and skin drying. Staff was not helpful, at all

Not the Best!

The hotel is tired, badly in need of refurbishment. The bathroom smelled of drains initially and each time I was out for a time. My computer couldn't receive the internet. The room is very small and the shower minute. the finishing is very old and worn. The TV has limited channels with no international content. The times for breakfast are inconvenient (on the weekends it is not open before 8am, which was not convenient as I needed to start early to get to the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the Market Garden airborne landing. Overall it was not a cheap place to stay at, though not very expensive, I did not feel it was good value for money. The best thing about the place is its location. Its a pretty part of the Netherlands and convenient for the motorway system.

Nice hotel - good price

Has everything needed for a nice stay. The only thing we slightly missed would have been a ventilator or air conditioning as it had more then 30°. Through opening the window at night it did stay bearable though.

Excellent. I took one of the rooms with terrace (10€ extra), these are a little old, but clean, warm and extremely quiet, the terrace is a real bonus for smokers. Internet is OK good signal everywhere, but slow (2mb/250kb). Food is a little pricey, but the quantity is outstanding. Only 2 minutes from the highway, so excellent access., plenty of parking in secured compound. I will return again if I am in the area.

Pleasant stay.

Front desk staff was very helpful in trying to help me with my car problems. I had inadvertently run the battery dry. Luckily, another guest was able to help me. The room was nice, comfortable, no problems. It even had a small balcony as I was on the 2nd floor. Lots of free parking.

The price for service is great!

This hotel is very convenient for us when we visit Holland as it's close to my sister-in-law's home in Dieren and to get from the hotel to Dieren you drive through some other small towns and it's a lovely drive. Get the rate that includes breakfast, that has been the best option when booking for us. We also usually have a drink at the local bar in Beekbergen where beer or wine is in the neighbourhood of 3 euros and they'll make you bitter ballen (a Dutch snack) on request for a few more euros!

Peaceful stay in the forest.

Relaxed, tranquil stay in terraced flat (choice of ground or first floor), surrounded by forest. Access to first floor rooms is by an extremely steep & narrow spiral staircase. Also many steps to breakfast/bar/restaurant area. No tea/coffee facility in room (had own kettle).

Stayed there for with a whole bunch of other people, we brought our dogs and booked many rooms. They happily charged 50 euros extra for every single room we rented because they claimed all rooms were dirty. Our room was slightly muddy at most (couldn't be helped since it was rainy), since we kept our dog in his crate for quite a bit. We were only informed that they were charging us after we reached home, and we couldn't even contest it.

Quiet Location

Nice hotel for an overnight stay being close to the motorway. The hotel is located in a nice rural area surrounded by forests so having a car would be essential. The room was very spacious and clean. There is a nice bar and restaurant on site also a pool and tennis court. You can hire bikes to ride around the nearby forest trails which is good.

We had a good time in the hotel. Please you need a car to be able to move around easily. The city centre of Beekbergen is about 5minutes drive away. The hotel is family friendly and cheap

A wonderfully relaxing hotel

This hotel is comfortable, well-equipped, and well-run. It is set in natural woodland, close to a major motor-way and the delightful town of Beekbergen, where there are many facilities that would delight travellers. The staff are friendly and positive. It is a most relaxing place, with most pleasant surroundings, just right for walking, cycling or simply relaxing and looking at. The swimming pool is great. It is excellent value. I would love to come back.

Disappointed with staff at reception

Disappointed no coffee/tea maker in room as was shown on booking - found receptionist unfriendly, no smiles, asked about the above was told it would be five euros per night - after some more discussion it was handed to us free and was told to bring pot down to be refilled with sachets - yet again next morning told again it would be 5 euros! We stayed three nights was never greeted with a smile or a good morning from reception - cleaning staff were pleasant, greeted us and smiled. Breakfast expensive at 12.50 euros each - variation of food limited - we have seen more in a less expensive hotel.

Hotel is fine but found staff a bit off pointing one person when loads trying to book in. you have to pre book restaurant. we did for 8.00pm but never got a table till 8.20 ???? too busy ? when we had ago about times and why others where getting table after waiting .....staff we felt did not want to know.
