If you are looking for something off the beaten path, you have found it! At the northern-most tip of Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, this cottage is located at St. Margaret's village, in Bay St. Lawrence. From the wraparound deck you have a panoramic, undeveloped view as the sun sets into the ocean.
Not far off the Cabot Trail, the cottage is a good base for whale watching, deep sea fishing from the nearby wharf, and golfing at Highland Links in Ingonish (one of the top-rated courses in the world). Cape Breton Highlands National Park is just 10 miles away, where countless hiking trails await. If you're lucky, you may spot a moose or a bear!
Watch the eagles soar, the guillemots fly in and out of the cliffs below, or the gannets dive into the ocean from the cottage. You might even see the occasional pod of whales in the bay.
Come and experience the serenity of Cape Breton!
“I have travelled around the globe. I have seen the Canadian and American Rockies, the Andes, the Alps and the Highlands of Scotland, but for simple beauty, Cape Breton outrivals them all.”
— Alexander Graham Bell
