Some rooms only accessable by stairs

Apparently, standard rooms are on an intermediate floor only accessable by stairs. Not horrible but inconvenient. Staff was very helpful in porting our luggage to our rooms. So it all worked out.

Tendenz fallend!!

Wieder einmal im Frankenland, daher weiß ich, dass die Basis-Zimmer bereits in die Jahre gekommen sind. Ich hatte vorab um ein Zimmer gebeten, welches sich nicht im EG befindet und habe eins erhalten, welches sich im EG befindet!!! Wer lesen kann... Eine "Anerkennung" als Stammgast gibt es dort leider auch nicht! Bis heute hat man es nicht geschafft, in den "einfachen" Zimmern etwas lichtundurchlässigere Vorhänge anzubringen und das Mobiliar etwas aufzufrischen. Die Saunabereich ist weiterhin gut, wenngleich auch dort ein paar Defizite inzwischen zu erkennen sind. Sehr Enttäuscht war ich über das Abendessen in der Frankenstube: zunächst einmal gibt es eine überarbeitete Karte, mit teils deutliche Preiserhöhungen. Ich bestellte das Schnitzel Wiener Art mit Bratkartoffeln. Das Schnitzel (wirklich selbstgemacht???) war braun und trocken und die Bratkartoffeln dafür quasi noch roh. Auch der 2. Versuch, das (TK?) Schnitzel besser zuzubereiten war kein Erfolg. Reinfall PUR, für inzwischen sehr viel Geld!!! Auch beim Frühstück passt es nicht mehr so: das Rührei sehr braun, die Spiegeleier quasi noch roh, die Nürnberger Würstchen kalt... Bisher habe ich das Hotel NUR wegen des Saunabereichs gebucht, die Zimmer wären das Geld nicht wert, dass Essen war die letzten Male noch ganz gut UND günstiger!! Aber inzwischen überwiegen die Nachteile immer mehr, so dass ich nicht weiß, ob ich zukünftig dort noch Gast sein möchte.

Schönes Wellness-Hotel mit bestem Komfort

Schönes, super sauberes Hotel. Einzigartiger Wellness-Bereich mit großem Innen- und Außenpool, verschiedenen Saunen, Sport-Schwimmbecken und Fitness-Bereich. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Zwei gute Restaurants. Perfekte Lage des Hotels mitten im Ort, wenige Minuten zum Kurzentrum.

There was no air conditioner or even opportunity to just have fan going for air circulation in the room. We did prop open the terrace door but that reduced our security since we were on the ground floor

Dieses Mal leider nicht OK!

Wie immer, buchte ich das Hotel auf meiner Durchreise hauptsächlich wegen des SPA Angebots. Checkin wie gewohnt freundlich und zügig. Die Standardzimmer sind in die Jahre gekommen, aber recht gepflegt. Leider war diesmal die Finnische Sauna defekt, so dass die Gartensauna entsprechend voll war. Zudem war diese ebenfalls nicht voll funktionstüchtig und wies lt. Personal nur eine Temperatur von knapp 70°C auf. Somit wurde der Hauptgrund meines Aufenthaltes nicht erfüllt. Sehr schade… Ansonsten passte aber alles. Abendessen und Service in der Frankenstube perfekt, das Frühstück wie gewohnt gut.
