Lovely house with beautiful views, very well equipped, cosy and clean. Thoroughly enjoyed the local pub which is just a 10 min walk. Really felt the owners had made an effort to dress the house for Christmas, which also included a bottle of fizz and a box of delicious locally hand made chocolates. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Island view is a lovely house in a stunning location. We had a great weekend and made full use of the hot tub, sauna and cinema room.Gorgeous views over the water and huge back garden if nice weather.Village is within walking distance and Ayr not far in the car or bus.We had a great time and hope to return next year.

We had a super family break at Island View.

We had a super family break at Island View. Gorgeous location! Only small comment is that maybe the cleaners could put the heating on before guests arrive as it was very cold on arrival, but once Fred from next door had shown us how to work the boiler we soon warmed up. Also we hadn’t realised the hot tub wouldn’t be heated up ready to use, so we couldn’t use it when we planned as obviously they take a good few hours to heat up. We will definitely book again!

Wonderful property. Clean. Spacious. Stunning views. Walking distance to harbour and castle. Lovely friendly local pub. Great food. Hot tub is fabulous. Sauna option with music system. Cinema room is an extra bit of luxury. Will definitely go back.

The house was fabulous.

The house was fabulous. Lovely views from lounge/kitchen and bedrooms. Very spacious everything a family could need. Four bedrooms each with en-suite and an extra separate toilet. One bathroom could do with a bit of an update but that was just personal taste. Great kitchen with breakfast bar, great having two fridges as well as freezer especially if your cooking for family. Washing machine and tumble drier in utility room is handy. Hot tub, sauna and cinema room were great. Great back garden and patio area with furniture and bbq. Would highly recommend. Lovely area, quiet and relaxing but not far from other areas. Culzean Castle and Heads of Ayr for kids a short drive away. Photographs don’t do it justice. This is an amazing house with outstanding views. Everything you need is there. I would say that the cleaning side of it definitely needs to improve. Some stains on our sheets - not awful and it was clear they had been washed but the stain not coming out. Curtains in some rooms coming away from rails. Just general small points which would make all the difference. Not sure if anyone has smoked in the house but the TV room upstairs we didn’t use because of a stale almost dusty, smoky smell. This was our group's 3rd visit to Island View and my 1st.

This was our group's 3rd visit to Island View and my 1st. The house is beautiful and in a lovely location, we all enjoyed our stay very much. However there were a few cleanliness and facility management issues. TV's and remotes need looking at in the main areas and the bedrooms. A simple cleaning kit would be advantageous to enable those visiting to wipe down table etc after use. A number of cleaning issues were noticed by the group and detailed in the visitors book so i won't go into detail. Not enough information given on how to use the appliances including the Hot Tub. Overall we absolutely loved our stay and would recommend the house and location to friends and family However given the price paid for the property we would expect that everything would be Top Notch. Fantastic property, amazing views and everything we could have needed for our weekend stay. Couldn’t get a signal on the bedroom TVs and couldn’t get sky to connect but that was likely user error! Didn’t matter as the weather was glorious. Shame the local pub was closed but the coffee and cakes from the cafe were lovely. Would definitely recommend to friends.
