Enjoy a super ocean view lot in quiet Askin's Creek, just one house back from the ocean. Hooked on Beach Life is a mere stone's throw from the ocean's edge and one of the closest homes to the Canadian Hole windsurfing area. It's also well-centered on Hatteras Island, convenient to local shops, & it's Pet-Friendly!

The short 100-ft walk over the direct ocean access to the beachfront will delight anyone who has ever lugged a beach chair, cooler or child to the water. It also features beautiful views from its wide two-level decks and plenty of privacy with a large lot & in a neighborhood with a single street!

The ground level has an ample, concrete parking area. This level also features an outdoor shower, a charcoal grill & a bar for entertaining, a fish-cleaning station for those fish you bring home, and a large lot where you can relax in the shade (or sun), play some corn-hole, or walk your dog!

The first level has three spacious bedrooms - two with king-beds & balconies overlooking the ocean, and the third has a full-size bed plus a set of bunk-beds for the kids. Each bedroom features a TV with DVD players & plenty of storage areas. This level also includes a bathroom, a laundry area, and comfortable furnishings.

On the top level, Hooked on Beach Life pays homage to the beautiful ocean view location with a grand prow-front design that allows great views of the beach and sunrises. This level has a large great room with cathedral ceilings, plenty of glass and warm wood accents and new leather seating; another bathroom, and a screened porch. We've also added a Shuffleboard Table! This is also where you will find a well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar and a dining area that can handle light hors d'oeuvres or family-size meals in style. You can also enjoy a Sunset view from the kitchen window!
You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking, which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

Please note: Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open mid-May to mid-October, depending on weather.

20th Anniversary Week

Cute and up to date. Sofas and dining table could be replaced! Also a screen door on the screened in porch would have been nice. They did replace outdoor shower head at our request.

Fun Vacation

The house was great and close to the beach. Any issues that we had were taken care of quickly. We needed more towels and a new coffeemaker and both were sent within an hour. The only issue we had was the check in time. The listing first listed 4:00 so we made our arrival time based on that. It was then changed to 6:00 so we had to wait until later before the key code worked.

Needs Maintenance

Place looked great online but not so great in person. Here’s why: 1. Living room curtains need to be thrown away. Very worn, damaged and aesthetically nasty to look at. 2. Carpet has lots of stains and needs to be cleaned or replaced. If you’re going to allow pets and charge for it, then use those funds to clean/repair damages. 3. Water in bathrooms smell like rotten eggs. It’s not fun to take a shower and have to hold your breath. 4. Fitted king sheets looked homemade, which would have been fine except it was way too small for the bed. If renters are required to make beds on arrival, property owner should provide appropriate linens. 5. Screened door torn and allowed critters inside. We were disappointed about the condition of this house and would not stay here again.

Very Disappointing- Dirty Property

The house was dirty - carpet stained every where. Drapes that were stained and ripped - sofa stained - thank goodness we brought our own linens and a sheet to put over the sofa. Didnt cook or use the kitchen. Ate out. Floors dirty - could go on but. managment Company hard to get a hold of. Read your reviews before renting.

Great location for a great price.

We loved this house, everything was well stocked especially the kitchen. The only downside is the parking. It’s a pretty steep driveway with hardly enough room to open doors. One bathroom on the same floor as bedrooms and one upstairs. Other than that, I would stay again and recommend it for a large family or two couples.

Definitely hooked!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hooked on Beach Life! The house is spacious and was very clean, the kitchen has all the utensils you could ask for, and the views from the deck were great! The beach never got crowded, and we enjoyed the sunsets from Canadian Hole, just a five minute drive away.

Was a wonderful vacation.

Hooked on Beach Life was a great little beach house suited for around 6-8 people. We had 3 couples in all on our vacation, and the property was perfect for what we needed. The house came stocked with all the necessities and was in great clean condition when we arrived. It's located smack dab in the middle of Avon and is very close to a Food Lion, Ace Hardware, and various food shops. Beach access is right next to the house, taking 30 seconds to get to the beach. It was the perfect location and it made the vacation that much better. I'd definitely consider renting this house again in the future.

Great location, beautiful house

We stayed at Jesemy for a week and could not have had a better experience. The beach was barely a minute's walk from the front door, and we could see the ocean from our deck. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, the A/C was robust, the rooms were a good size and two had access to a deck, and the house was very close to Food Lion. Great stay.
