Welcome to The Mason House, a cottage with an authentic feel. The neighborhood and all of the charm that downtown Georgetown provides, are waiting to be explored!! Come see eateries, artwork, nature, and much more in the Historic Downtown Square!! Your perfect Summer getaway.

This quaint, recently refreshed home is situated in a peaceful neighborhood just strolling distance to The Square in Georgetown. This property offers all the comforts of home with a touch of nostalgia sprinkled in for extra flavor! Great home in a perfect location.



There is a small separate home at the back of the property that may have other guests. If there is someone in the back home, they will park on the street, so you will have driveway parking. The deck and seating area is shared between both properties. Occasionally, the owner may need to go to the backyard to water the plants.

Trip to Georgetown

The house is as shown and described. I was a bit surprised to find that it was a shared property and the yard was not completely fenced but re-read the listing and saw that. Didn’t really pose an issue just didn’t seem as private. Furnishings in living room aren’t really cozy and could use a side table or two to set down drinks.

Comfy and clean!

I was traveling alone (female) and felt really safe. The property is comfy with a nice nice layout. Everything i needed in the kitchen. Beds were about a 7.5 (i like a touch softer) the a/c was great. You do have to enter the side door rather than the front door. This was confusing at first. I would love to again! Two great coffee shops super close. Easy access to I 35 again!

Beautiful, quiet and very clean cottage

We really enjoyed staying at this beautiful cottage. It’s just a few minutes walk to the square and the location is perfect and so peaceful. I was able to work from home and go for walks and try the local coffee shops nearby. Very clean, Comfortable beds, amazing backyard to hangout in the evenings. I will definitely come back and stay there again.

Basketball Tournament

We enjoyed the house while we were in town for a basketball tournament over a three-day period. The house was very comfortable. Being close to downtown was awesome as well. Solid recommendation from us.

Weekends getaway

Weekend getaway with my kids and grandkids , it was so relaxing . There was even games and toys for my 1 year old granddaughter . The property was so cute and cozy we just loved it . The home was quiet and clean but there was a musty smell when we first walked in. This was our second year in a row and we enjoyed it once again. Only real complaint we had was the rule that we couldn’t set the AC below 74 degrees.

This is a lovely property in a great location, close enough to walk to the Square. The amenities were very nice. However, the linens could benefit from an upgrade, as the sheets were polyester and not comfortable.

Nice Home with Well Equipped Kitchen

This was a lovely cottage with two bedrooms to choose from, a large living area, a nice bathroom, and a well equipped kitchen perfect for a get away. A nice walk from Georgetown square in a neighborhood with a good number of historical homes, it was a great location. There is work being done on a small area in the back but it did not disturb us. While it was nice being by so many restaurants we were happy that the kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans, spices, utensils, etc to make it easy to cook whatever we wanted there. The beds were not the most comfortable but they worked for the weekend and that is more of a personal choice. There is a separate air conditioner for the back living area as it gets a bit hot, but the air conditioner helped.

This property does not disclose upfront that there is a resident on the property. A man lives on site in a small home a few feet from the back door. Our experience was he was drunk and stumbling around just outside our back door. He sits in a law chair which is right next the the back door so it was hard to use the backyard area. Add this along with all the window coverings being so sheer anyone could see in (bathroom included) it made my wife and daughter very uncomfortable and unsafe.
