Bienvenidos a la Kimar Resort, a lo largo de las orillas del lago Superior en Shelter Bay. Disfrute de la belleza de prístino lago Superior en nuestros 300 'pies de costa de arena privada con vistas AuTrain Island. Relájese en la terraza en la playa o, para mayor privacidad, sentarse en la terraza de su propia cabina con vista al lago. Construido en la década de 1990, nuestro dormitorio lodge 4 usted y su familia ofrece una hermosa experiencia de la naturaleza, junto con las comodidades de un hogar moderno.

Situado justo al otro lado de la carretera es un lago interior más pequeño, Deer Lake, un perfecto lugar para nadar. Hay mesas de picnic y parrillas para su almuerzo al aire libre en la playa o lanzar su barco y tratar de tomar un poco de la perca o el lucio. Dé un paseo por la playa para ver puestas de sol.

Además, también ofrecemos un servicio de charter de pesca en el Lago Superior. Pescamos tres lugares que van desde 4 a 45 millas de la costa. Usted y la familia pueden duende justo al lado de la isla de Au Train o tomar una excursión de un día completo para trofeo de tamaño trucha de lago, con un peso de hasta 30 libras!

We only stayed one night as we were making our way home from the Porcupine Mountains. The home was clean and spacious. We enjoyed walking the beach that evening. Nicely between Marquette and Munising. We would consider going back for a longer stay!

Amazing, revitalizing stay!

We had such a wonderful stay. The bay is beautiful and you can kayak around the shore and watch bald eagles. A really magical place, I would highly recommend and will probably return.

We had a great stay at the Lodge at Kimar’s. The cabin was exactly as pictured. Very clean and had everything that we needed. Sarah was very helpful and answered all our needs. She gave us helpful tips on where to buy groceries and anything else we needed. This made our stay in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan a great experience!

Wonderful memories made

Myself and three friends loved our stay at Kimar's Resort! We rented the 4 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath lodge. The lodge had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The property was fabulous and everyone we encountered was great! We loved watching the sunrise near the pavilion on Lake Superior and we walked across the road to Deer Lake to watch the sunset. Sarah is the best host ever and has a gem of a resort! She was even nice enough to take time to help us look for Yooperlites. I recommend Kimar's Resort and plan to visit again!

Very clean

The Lodge was very neat and clean but very basic. Sarah was good to deal with. Check in was easy. Having 4 bedrooms was a plus for us. My only negative would be that the listing seemed to me anyway that the Lodge was directly on the water. It is a short walk to the water's edge. It is also a good distance from Munising, almost 20 miles.

Kimar Family Pride - A Fishing Village History

From the booking this resort provided superior communication through multiple avenues - VRBO, Kimar’s Email and through phone And text messaging. Sarah exceeds expectations as a professional Service Concierge. The facility was sparkling clean upon entry, and double-checked for comfort by Carrie, in just the right timeframe after we settled in. I encourage you to walk the entire property to explore the cabins, and including the bayshore, the fish-house and Pop’s Shop.

Great cabin, ideal location

We had a great stay in UP Michigan. The cabin that we stayed in was very nice and had more than enough room for the 4 of us. The property manager Sarah was really friendly and helpful, offering plenty of advice on places to see while we were there.We didn't have a direct view of Lake Superior from the cabin but it was just a quick walk from our door down to the lakeshore. Kimar's Resort in Au Train was a great central location between many of our destinations. It was just a short drive east to Munising (20 minutes) or west to Marquette (25 minutes), and the drive east to Grand Marais was a little over an hour. The Pictured Rocks lakeshore is really beautiful. This was my first trip to the UP but I am certain that it won't be my last, and when we come back we would love to stay in the same place again.

Great halfway point between Munising and Marquette.

Cottage (house) is located with in a short distance (125 yards) of Lake Superior. Cottage was clean and had plenty of space for hanging out. Open living room, dinning and kitchen area. I would recommend eating at Foggy's Bar and Steak house, Chathum Pub (Club sandwich and Fries are awesome) Miner Pasties (Skip the chicken Pasties however at Miner's) Muldoon's Pasties. Kimar's Resort is located within a short drive to several falls. They have a folder within the room that describes the area and attractions.

Front door didnt lock from inside of cabin, could only lock going out and locking with key. Ceiling fan shaky when on. Standing fans in bedroom fithy. Not enough wash cloths for 5 people.
