Historic Downtown Flat, No. 1

**Astoria is currently undergoing a construction boom all over town so there may be some construction noise during the day.

Step back in time and enjoy staying in the recently restored, iconic, Gilbaugh building and walk to all the best places to eat, drink and recreate in downtown Astoria. This well appointed, 2-bd 1-bath flat boasts beautiful period architecture. Located in the historic district, the flat is 1 block from the Ft. George Brewery and Heritage Museum and a couple of blocks from the Maritime Museum, Reachbreak Brewing, Bowpicker, Riverwalk and many others.

Although close to everything, we maintain a quiet separation from the bustle of downtown in an area of historic architecture making the location perfect for your next Astoria visit. Commercially zoned, permitted and lovingly restored, this flat is maintained, owned and operated by Astorians. Our area serves a mix of both long-term and short-term tenants so we appreciate quiet respect for the neighbors. Park on-street and walk to everything.

This historic craftsman apartment is located in Astoria's historic district where a variety of beautifully restored Victorian, Mediterranean, Tudor and Craftsman homes and buildings can be seen.

This is an older building (over 100 years old) with original, restored wood floors. In this lower flat, there may be some sounds like foot traffic from the tenants on the floor above. If you find this a disturbance, we provide white noise machines in the bedrooms as well as ear plugs. Also note; we discourage running or stomping in this flat as it can be heard throughout the building.

If you have mobility concerns you should know that the unit is located on the first floor but still requires you climb 23 stairs from street to the front door.

The apartment is heated and features a kitchen and space to spread out with 2 bedrooms and a dining area. Guests can expect to find a TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a coffee maker, and an ironing board.

Astoria visit

We truly enjoyed staying in this property and the hosts are terrific. Right now there is construction across the street so not as quiet or convenient as it will be once that project is completed. Older charming flat near everything

Very old

Location is great with nice view. Place and fixtures are very old. Probably clean but looks and feels dirty. Also pls dont ask me to take my shoes off or start laundry or do dishes to "help keep cleaning fee low" when your place is old and already dirty

Great Location downtown

We loved being able to walk everywhere and the flat was spacious but the bathroom is seriously in need of a redo. Sink so old and stained you can’t tell if it is clean or not. Chips, scratches and rust stains. Old clawfoot Tub is charming but very narrow as a shower and high sides are not easy for an older person to get in. Needs a grab bar. Bath mat also

Great base for exploring northern Oregon and southern Washington coast.

During our 3-night stay here, we were able to explore Astoria, Fort Stevens State Park and the Long Beach peninsula. There was still plenty left to discover after our stay. View of the Columbia River and ship traffic will keep you absorbed no matter the weather. Deserves another visit.

Ladies Astoria Getaway

We had a wonderful stay in Astoria. The location was excellent, so close to the river with a great view. The common space was inviting and spacious.and the beds were very comfortable and we all slept well. The bathroom could use some updating but was adequate. The hosts were great, easy to contact and responsive to any needs and questions. We were happy with our decision to stay there.
