It was an okay stay overall. I had read the reviews beforehand, so my expectations were already adjusted. That said, I really don’t think this should be rated as a 4-star property—it sets an expectation the experience doesn’t live up to.
The biggest challenge was finding our room. It took two of us, our driver, and even the security guard at the gate to locate it. If we had arrived after dark, it would have been very difficult. Our key was left in a lockbox in an envelope with our name on it. We had been told it was inside the building, but it was actually outside—and there were multiple envelopes, so it’s very much a trust system.
The front desk was closed when we arrived at 3:30 in the afternoon, which was surprising.
On the positive side, the room was clean and well air-conditioned, and the pool area was lovely—quiet and well maintained. However, we did have to put on our own sheets and duvet cover, which again calls the 4-star rating into question.
There’s a great buffet at the hotel next door—good quality and very affordable.
Just a note: the walkway to our room was broken in places and could be problematic for anyone with accessibility needs. There were also many gravel paths throughout the property.
All in all, fine for what it is—but best to know what you’re getting into
