I may have been a bit grumpy on arrival as I had taken an overnight bus and only dozed in 24 hours. Neverthe less the staff was not unfriendly but not warm and welcoming either. The door requires a code which I didn’t know so I went to the family door. I was told « there is a button » when I checked in I asked for the WiFi pwd, she pointed to a sign that said it’s on the back of the door. I guess I’m not very observant! The WiFi only works intermittently. I had to turn it off to access the app for my departure details. Good thing I had an e sim. The location was great with respect to to the old town and the lake but keep in mind it’s up a steep hill. I’m in decent shape but a lot of people were huffing to get up to see the chateau. Rooms are small even by European standards but clean. Breakfast is simple no hot items. I ate there once and out the rest not sure it’s worth the 11E there is a nice terrace to eat at or have a drink. Too bad weather wasn’t conducive, it looked nice! Finally the room key is on a heavy fob assuming so it doesn’t get stolen. You are asked to leave it on a hook in the lobby when you go out but even though the door has a code to get in anyone with access to the lobby can grab any key. On the dense if I’d recommend it. Just know before you go

This is a lovely, clean hotel very close to old town- everything we wanted to do was in walking distance. Staff is friendly. Bed is comfortable. Breakfast was very good.

Great location and view

Rooms are small but nice, no AC but was fine with open windows at night. Awesome view from the room and terrace, and convenient location - old town is right at the bottom of the hill and the lake is a few mins walk away.

Charming, small hotel in a great location in Annecy. Having been told ahead of time by the hotel that it’s petit with no A/C was a big help for our expectations. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Gorgeous Alpine town!

I liked the location at the top of a hilll. The view from our window was over the town. I did not like the noise at night from a crowed of people who gathered seemingly under our windowl However the noise stopped by eleven in the evening and the rest of the night was quiet. I had agreed to the room having the shower and toilet across the hall. And I knew that the hotel was not air conditiioned. So I can not complain about these.

We were very disappointed with our stay in this hotel. We could not drive up to the entrance and had a difficult time dragging heavy luggage uphill on a cobblestone road. The staff could not offer any assistance. The room was very small, no A/C and no window screens. The bathroom was not well designed and the room flooded while taking a shower. The hill, cobblestone roads and the lack of service made it very difficult

Gorgeous view from our room! While it's a bit of a hill to get to the hotel, it's a short walk down to the shopping, restaurants, and the lake. It rained quite a bit when we were there, so we didn't get to enjoy it, but there's a great deck that would be wonderful for a picnic. Loved our stay here!

The location to the Old Town part of ANNECY is the best! It's at the top of a hill right above all the restaurants and shops. The room we had was cute and quaint. Be careful of the steep stairs though. The staff were fairly nice. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
