It's a quiet place in a quaint location, a easy 10 minute walk from the train station. Beds were wobbly and mattress seemed to rock from side to side, causing me to wake up several times in the night.

Great room in a lovely hotel!

Our room was very spacious, people at the desk very helpful! We stayed there because we had a flight out of Schiphol the next morning. The hotel was close enough, 20 minutes away by car, and we got to the airport easily. Restaurant in the hotel but we decided to walk across the street to another restaurant. We'll consider staying there again if we revisit the Netherlands!

We had so many bed bugs in our room that made us awake all night looking for them in our cloths and remove them from our luggages and made us sleep in the car for a couple of hours on car. They have let us sleep in another room for 2 hours pluse a breakfast and refunded our money but it was nit worth for us as I still have fear there might be few of the bedbugs in my carry ons.

We enjoyed the comfort of a spacious air-conditioned room on an extremely hot day. Despite being on the first floor overlooking the road the room was quiet and we had a good night’s sleep in the comfortable bed.

I liked Stan's service. Our room was clean airy and excellent. He had a pleasant young man(forgot his name) who helped us carry our suitcases up to our room on arrival and down for departure as there are no elevators in this hotel. The breakfast was wonderful and filling. The village is cute, remote and so peaceful. The Chinese restaurant round the corner was very good food. Did not get a change to try the Italinan restaurant around the corner. The grocery store down the street was very well stocked and clean. There is a bus to the train station and from there easy to take a train to downtown Amsterdam Central which we did. My husband has a problem walking so all this bus service from Abcoude helped him go to the heart of the city and we took and wonderful boat ride down the canal. At the central train station there are lots of eating places but expensive. There is a Hop On and Hop Off bus to take to visit all the main places and attractions. The Dutch are kind, very helpful, English is spoken all over, and we had a wonderful time at Hotel Abcoude especially the young lady who spoke to my husband at the hotel and gave him all that information so he got a chance to get see downtown Amsterdam. Slightly dated but great vase for A’dam adventure

This hotel is lovely but it is slightly dated in decor. Set in a lovely little town, it is easy to find from the nearest train startion. Check-in was very easy however we thought we would be in one of their modern looking rooms shown in the first few images on here but ended up in one that hasn’t made the cut to be updated yet and this was disappointing . It worked perfectly fine as a base but wasn’t anything spectacular. Be aware if you’re planning to be in Amsterdam central the majority of the time the nearest train station isn’t included in the gvb daily travel cards which left us spending more on travel than necessary which was frustrating as we read reviews from on here that it was included in it.
