Great experience at an urban farm in the Northern part of Amsterdam. Enjoy peace, space and a green environment in this oasis at the edges of Amsterdam.... In the vicinity of Amsterdam city centre and the historic Zaanstreek.

Spacious apartments especially suited for families, in a child friendly environment. The 'Amsterdam Farm Lodge' is located on the terrain of the urban farming project 'NoordOogst', a very special place on the edge of Amsterdam, just a few steps away from the hustling and bustling NDSM wharf. But also a lot to see and do on site. Here you'll find fields with crops, pigs, chickens, an adventurous natural playground, kids daycare, a smoke house, a beekeeper, a wine yard and a beer brewery. And plenty of space to play.

Sustainability is important to us, therefore we made use of recycled materials to decorate the place.

Do not expect luxury, but good comfort, the basics are provided for. If needed we can provide for baby beds and baby chairs.
The apartment has a living room, a dining room, toilet, bathroom with shower, separate toilet, kitchen, 2 bed rooms with 2 single beds and a bedroom with a romantic 'bed in a box' for 2 persons. The living room has a sofa bed that sleeps one or two persons. It sleeps a maximum of 8 persons (excluding babies). The basics such as toilet paper, bed linen and towels are provided for. If needed we can provide for baby beds, baby chairs and a changing mattress.
The apartment is heated and features a kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 4 bedrooms. Other standard amenities include a coffee maker and a travel crib. Change of towels is available on request.

Cool urban farm in Amsterdam suburbs

This is a very cool apartment on the grounds of a quiet urban farm with a very nice restaurant on the grounds as well. The apartment we stayed in was clean and well resourced for our family of 5. The accommodations were nothing fancy but more than adequate for making meals, feeling comfortable sleeping and showering. Importantly we were able to acquire bikes that were available on site for cycling to and from the city. Biking is a great way to see the city and accessible via a short free ferry ride 10’ from the farm. Unfortunately, we did have an issue with our rental car where the wheels were stolen off of our vehicle. However, this was not the fault of our hosts, but rather a policy of having visitors park outside the facility. This policy has changed. I should say that the park did not appear to be dangerous, but largely abandoned at night. We loved the hosts and the farm and would stay here again.

Wonderful stay at the Amsterdam Farm Lodge

We had a wonderful stay at the Amsterdam Farm Lodge. Rogier and Nicole are very welcoming and provided us with loads of useful information about our visit of Amsterdam. The apartment is clean and well equipped, it has a bit of quirky design. The mattresses are the best! The place is very well suited for families as it is completely safe for children and a lot of space to play and run, and there is natural playground where kids can splash in the water on the premises. The chickens and the piggies are lovely and we enjoyed picking fresh mint for our tea. We can really recommend if you look for a nice place to relax after visiting the crowded centre of Amsterdam!
