Chapel Stile if a fantastic base for your lake district holiday – the true heart of the lake district. Langdale valley provide you with a huge range of walking and biking routes and some of the most dramatic scenery and iconic Wainwrights. Fittingly enough, the local pub in Chapel Stile, called Wainwrights, is only a short walk away, as too is Elterwater and the Britannia Inn. 12 Thrang Brow is spread over 3 floors with a bright open living space and fantastic views out towards Lingmoor Fell.

Week in Chapel Stile

We spent a lovely week on Chapel Stile in the Langdale Valley. The weather was mixed to start with but improved significantly for the last 3 days. The property was adequate - basic with some annoying faults like scalding hot water, which couldn’t be adjusted and made showering very challenging snd a horrible, damp, foisty smell from the downstairs bedroom which was very off putting. Overall, we had a lovely and relaxing time in a beautiful part of the world.
