We stayed on Friday in the till room , myself hubby and daughter we had a pleasant stay the room was perfect , a lucky find for us ,the customer service recieved was outstanding staff pleasant and approachable , compliment's also to the chef for a lovely breakfast also , no complaints ,we hope to return soon . Highly recommend everyone to visit whoā€™s looking for a relaxing break .

Many more cons than pros sadlyā€¦

Unfortunately the Shepherds hut we stayed in was right next to the pub car park (sone might say actually in the car park) meaning we were woken at 5.20 a.m when deliveries were being made and then again at 7 a.m when staff were chatting in the car park. The cabin was very basic, lacked attention to detail or any nice personal touches as well as being very dark and gloomy. Outside furniture was weathered and not attractive. Shower was great, breakfast good but other than that it was very expensive for what you get. The food in the evening wasnā€™t great either. Overall I would not recommend at all.

Bedrooms was well presented, Beds was clean and comfy but the bathroom sink was impractical. The Breakfast was prepared and sereved tepid at best. Cant judge the evening meals as the wouldnt serve you unless you was booked in to the restaurant.

Excellent service with well trained staff; food delicious with ample choice; bedroom small but quirky and comfortable. Lovely bath and shower; nexpresso coffee maker; large fluffy towels, bathrobes and slippers. Great coastal walking from the door.

The staff were really friendly and helpful from checking in to leaving . The room was amazing and super clean with super comfy bed . Food was great also and restaurant bar area really nice . We would definitely come back again .

We really enjoyed our stay. Food was excellent. Only hiccup was no hot water on the first night, which was rectified as quickly as they could. Only suggested improvement would be to add a lamp/light switch next to the bed - it was a bit odd not to have it.

Room tired and dark decor, no bathrobes or locally sourced treat as advertised! Noisy room above the bar. Nice location of hotel, with some lovely walks around it. Evening food very disappointing, steak small and chips covered in paprika they were barely edible! Liqueur coffee not possible as only synthetic squirty creamā€¦ not what Iā€™d expect from a so called 5 star luxury hotel!!

Just ok, didnā€™t live up to what weā€™d seen on Insta

The room was dark. There was 3 of us, 2 adults and an 11 year old yet only 2 glasses and 2 bottles of water. Only 2 cups. 2 English breakfast tea bags. We arrived at 2.50pm to check in to be told the rooms werenā€™t ready yet and to get a drink in the bar. Weā€™d traveled for 5.5 hours so weā€™re happy to do this however we then seemed to be forgotten about as others checked in a matter of minutes after weā€™d enquired and we didnā€™t get a key until 3.35pm. We ate in the restaurant and expected more from weā€™d seen on Insta to what we got. The food was just ok. Breakfast was a let down with the buffet being left on the bar near the door . When we got to breakfast during the recommended time slot of 8.30am there was one slice of cheese and once slice of meat leftā€¦ We wouldnā€™t be rushing back even though the location is great.

Overnight stay

We attended a wedding and stayed in the cottage for just one night, was close to the venue clean and tidy slept six. We werenā€™t in it really just to sleep. The following morning had breakfast at the joiners arms which was beautiful l.
