Newly refurbished 200 m2 (2100 sq ft) villa set in 2500 m2 plot of land with open plan ground floor consisting of living room / dining room, kitchen and bathroom. 1st floor includes 2 master bedrooms, another 2 bedrooms, bathroom and sun terrace. Villa is situated in a natural reserve and a quite rural location great location to chill out oand have a relaxing holiday. Villa has a 12m x 6.6m pool and sun deck area with 350 m2. Landscaped gardens and 1000 m2 of natural grassed area.Maximum number of guests is 8.However if rented in conjunction with our sister property reference 8400776 the maximum number of guests can be 16.Extra rates will apply for additional guests.This vila is a non smoking villa and we do not allow smoking inside the villa we request that guests respect this villa rule.

Great Villa, Ian was on hand when we arrived to show us around and also sent details of local supermarket, restaurants and the ferry. Beautiful villa with amazing views and a good location for beach and only 15-20 mins to the ferry into Lisbon. We were a little concerned on approach, driving up the very bumpy roads and dirt tracks but the villa was great. Lots of outside seating space to eat, lounge and plenty of shaded areas. The pool took a little getting used to as the first 2-3 steps into the pool then go onto a sloped area. Great size and depth to swim in and the kids enjoyed playing with the toys and lilos.

Fabulous spacious villa

Had a fantastic time at villa sol. The villa is clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The pool is great and the area around it is lovely and there's plenty of shady spots to sit. The town has some nice restaurants and taxis are easy to get but a car is useful for getting around.

The perfect place for a quiet, relaxing getaway

Vila Sol was exactly what we hoped for: a beautiful and spacious home to enjoy a quiet and relaxing vacation. For us, it was perfectly located far enough from Lisbon city center that we felt as though we were in an exclusive resort. We were able to easily get into town by car and uber whenever we wanted to enjoy the city attractions. Ian, our host, is by far one of the best we have met in our many years as VRBO members. Friendly, communicative, helpful and professional. This was our first time visiting the country, and plan to return many more times in the future. If Vila Sol is available for our next visit, we would absolutely book again.

Spotlessly clean villa with comfortable beds and all functioning services. Perfect location for a great holiday for all ages (we have been returning ro Vila Amaro with 6 children for 17 years) and although we had mixed early September weather there is so much to do on both sides of the river Tagus

An oasis for writing retreat

We had a wonderful stay. Ian was an attentive host and quick to reply. Upon arrival, he took us to the supermarket, since we had no car, to buy what we needed to have during our stay. I asked why there were no basics and he explained that to ensure hygiene he does not keep even basic spices. The beds were firm and the bathrooms (4 of them) were all equipped with showers and toilets. This was very convenient as we were 4 adults meeting for a writing retreat. Uber can readily pick you up, but dropping you off can be a challenge. Ian was accessible to give directions and from then on, we knew how to instruct drivers too. We would absolutely stay here again due to its seclusion. If you are staying here as a get away for Lisbon, be prepared for traffic on the bridge or to take a train or ferry across the water. For us the location was perfect and the host was very kind and helpful. Enjoy your stay!

Beautiful house close to the beach and Lisbon

We were a group of 7 adults and had plenty of space to spread out and relax. A bit early in the season to swim, but enjoyed the pool area anyway. Nice amenities such as shuttle service and massages. Only drawback was noisy dogs and construction going on next door.

Wonderful villa with all the conveniences and hosts were exceptional

The Villa Sol is a wonderful villa in spectacular Caparica. The hosts Ian and Teresa were so friendly and full of knowledge on sightseeing and things to do. They are truly incredible hosts. The house had everything you needed for your stay and the store was only a 5 minute drive away. You really need a vehicle here if you plan to do a lot of sightseeing in Lisbon and the surrounding area. The beaches are spectacular and unfortunately the pool was too cool to really enjoy at the end of September. We were 3 couples from Canada and we had lots of room. The bedrooms are a nice size along with your own bathroom. The outside area is very big and lots of chairs to sit in or out of the sun. We had a very enjoyable stay and the weather was fantastic. Everyone is so friendly in Portugal and the prices are incredible for food, and especially wine and beer. We highly recommend this villa for families or couples.

Outstanding stay!!!!!

What a beautiful villa!!! Our family stayed here for one week and it had everything we could ask for. It was immaculate inside and out and the owners were on hand to answer any queries we may have had. I would recommend you hire a car, as the nearest shop is just a little too far to walk to in the heat, but local taxi's and uber drivers are on hand and are very reasonably priced. We will definitely be coming back..... Amazing!!!!!

Stunning Villa

We have just returned from having a 2week holiday at the Beautiful villa Sol. We was a party of 6 adults and 2 children, the villa was well laid out and we had more than enough space for our party. The grounds around the villa are stunning and there is plenty of room to lounge around and relax. the villa is well equipped and has everything you need. we ate out a few nights and found the restaurants in caprica very good and very reasonably priced. the rest of our stay we just stayed in the villa and made full use of the facilities including the large swimming pool and BBQ. The Villa is very modern and very well decorated throughout. The owners Ian and Teresa were very helpful and made us feel very welcome, Absolutely a lovely couple. We enjoyed our holiday so much we have booked to go back in 2018, We will definitely be recommending villa SOL to our friends and family. A car is necessary but all amenities are within easy reach from the Villa. Caprica beach is about a 5minute drive away, Supermarket is a 2minute drive and almada Forum / Shopping centre is easily reached within 8 minutes all with plenty of parking. It is also worth noting Ian and Teresa have another Villa next door to Vila Sol which we also viewed and found equally as nice. Thank you for lovely stay and we look forward to visiting villa sol again next year

Comfortable and enjoyable stay in a lovely villa

Lovely modern villa with fresh, bright decor. More than enough space for our party of 7 adults. We had beautiful weather all week, so enjoyed the private pool, outdoor eating area and living room area in the evenings. The location is great for day trips to Lisbon, Sintra and Costa da Caparica, but a rental car is definitely required. The owners Ian and Teresa made us feel very welcome upon arrival. This villa is highly recommended for families or a group of friends.

perfect holiday location

Our first impression of Villa Sol was perfect. The location, 25 minutes from the airport was easy to get to, we had received great directions from Ian and Teresa, and we found the location no problem. The villa was even more spacious than we had imagined and spotless. The pool area was really nice, a great sun trap and although the water was cold the pool itself was a great fun space in which we played volleyball, and just relaxed on inflatable loungers in the pool. Within 10 minutes of the villa by car we were on the beautiful Caparica beach - 20 miles of golden sand and the Atlantic gently breaking on its shore. We did surf lessons at Epic surf school which was fantastic. I can highly recommend Villa Sol, it was a perfect location for our family, 25 minutes from Lisbon and all the culture and history the capital city of Portugal delivers and 10 minutes from a lovely beach. We can't wait to come back.

We could not fault the villa, it was spotlessly clean - (extremely important) and had everything you could possibly need. The pool was perfect as we had children with us and the whole holiday was very relaxing. You do need a car to get out and about, shopping etc. The welcome basket was well worth it as we arrived late at night.

Everything you need and more

Firstly, I would like to say a big thanks to Theresa who was more than helpful throughout our stay- She made sure we were settled in nicely and gave us all the advice we needed. The villa was fully furnished it was like home from home. The villas are exactly how you see on the website's gallery. Absolutely spotless and spacious. You did not need to bring anything- the kitchen had everything you needed. There was a BBQ in the garden (that we used throughout our stay) The pool was clean and if the weather was hotter I would have definitely made use of it! The price is great and I would recommend this place to family and friends :)

The villa was spotless. The owners were extremely helpful and welcoming. The Facilities were all as expected first class and the pool was perfect. The location is quiet and within a wooded area, the grounds are well maintained as is the pool. I would recommend a car. The accomoodation is spacious throughout, the bedrooms were immaculate as were all the bedding.

Die sonnige Woche in der Villa Sol haben wir sehr genossen. Den Garten konnten wir gut nutzen. Gartenmöbel standen bereit. Der Pool war leider zu kalt. Kein Wunder bei den niedrigen Nachtemperaturen. Wir haben viele sehr schöne Kurztrips gemacht, vor allem nach Lissabon. Auch Sintra und Cascais waren toll. Leider war die Zufahrtstrasse zur Villa durch die vielen Schlaglöcher schwer zu befahren. Wie der Vermieter erklärte, lag es wohl an den schweren Regenfällen in den Monaten zuvor. Das Vermieterehepaar war sehr nett und sehr zuvorkommend. Aufgrund der Windrichtung in unserer Woche war es durch die Flugzeuge im Landeanflug allerdings (auch bedingt durch das höher gelegene Haus) für mich als „Ruhesuchende“ :)) oft sehr laut (ausgenommen die Nacht: 24:00-6:00 Uhr). Insgesamt aber war alles sehr nett und zu der Jahreszeit alles schön grün.
