ITC here at Agra seems to have fallen from grace. Probably cost pressures. Like a few years ago, I expected service, comfort, experience and cultural immersion as always. But instead my group of 7 and I faced several small annoying nitty gritties that left a bit of an unpleasant experience that you don’t expect from ITC esp at the price paid. Several things.. 1) pool steam room not working 2) room service forgetful and slow - our cups never showed up 3) Buffet quality at dinner and breakfast not 5star (Hyatt in Lko was better) 4) dark outdoors in the evening in courtyard around the pools and fountains that prevented me from talking longer walk in fresh air (I stepped in a puddle) 5) food service mediocre - wrong orders, misplaced orders, someone else’s order given, haggling for wrong drink preparation, 6) Property is great but no welcome acknowledgement or ceremony which used to be great before. Our American friends would have felt good about it but instead we were just waiting at an understaffed reception 7) cultural immersion experience.. not very cultural. Your most guests are travelers, many from outside India. They may not feel culturally immersed if you have guitar based Bollywood and western solo songs. Most luxury hotels have live Indian experiences with locally sourced ethnic artists and craftsmen. Just a suggestion..

ITC Mughal was a wonderful experience. The staff was extremely efficient, the food at Taj Bano and Peshawari was excellent and there is an interesting sampling of shops within the hotel. The hotel grounds are nice for a small walk and the puppet show was adorable. I would highly recommend it.

Fantastic hotel truly 5* Far enough away from busy road, therefore no traffic noise. Great choice of on site restaurants. Beautiful extensive gardens. The Royal Suites are amazing with little extras thrown in including two hour complimentary drinks and nibbles. All staff were so friendly. I would stay again.

the resort is amazing ! Loved the garden and the pools ,so well maintained and relaxing. I used the spa and it was great, I was a bit harassed by a worker at the spa for tip while leaving the spa and it did make me uncomfortable and ruined the zen I was feeling after my lovely massage. I left a small item in the room . I called and I was told nothing was found but then they called me back the same day to say they found it which is a wonderful news. They said they will mail it to me and now we are waiting to get a shipping cost rate . I was a bit surprised they will be charging me for shipping a small item especially that it is a5 star hotel ! but I will be happy to receive it so I am keeping my finger crossed - Other than that, beautiful spa, Garen , pool and the breakfast is delicious !! the staff also very nice.
