Nice Location within Spintex Enclave - Community 18
Property is nice, clean and descent. However, there are very important things that would have enhanced the stay and experience.
There's an erratic electricity supply, a situation that results in frequent power outages from the national grid (ongoing load shedding), yet there's no standby power source (genset) at the house. The rooms become so heated up that you have to stay out.
No active subscription for the so-called satellite cable TV (informed on site that it's only Netflix). Internet data is capped at 5Gig for 7 days (varies depending on length of stay). Most importantly, this information MUST be available on the property profile to ensure that visitors are able to make an informed decision prior to booking - surprises like these are just not good for business, and negatively affects visitor expectation.
I had a serious safety issue with the water heater at the bathroom - response wasn't encouraging to say the least. This could have been fatal. Attempts to get it fixed only occurred on the last day (mid-morning of my check-out).
I think there's still more room for improvement - it is the experience that matters - which includes ensuring that the basic essentials (power, internet, cable, paper towels, etc.) are readily available for such a price point.
