The manager I met on duty was quite typical of some poor customer service to be expected sometimes in Nigerian hospitality.
First he couldn't find my booking
Then he admitted it was a certain class of room after seeing my receipt
Then claimed Expedia had cancelled payment
Then allowed me to stay four days before he began harassing me about having paid for only four days as HIS calculations weren't coming up right...
Even after he himself confirmed I had booked 6nights, and that he had given me the correct class of room, it was still obvious he was out to extort me for extra payment to cover what he either didnt understand was agency fee shortfall or... he probably knows this, and was just trying it on.
I had to close the door on him after telling him, firmly, how rude it was of him to be disturbing a fully paid guest's peace with his constant ringing their intercom, asking them to come down to reception, and now coming up to the room.
He was a ultimate 'manager-from-hell'
The kitchen waiter and laundry guy were so excellent though, that I feel bad about giving any negative review.
There was constant electricity here, but wifi was poor.
Also, the mosquitoes here are the size of lions, so ensure there are no openings from where they can sneak in.
I reported a sizeable gap in the wall where the AC should have filled out, and where a small bird could have snuck in, but just couldn't be bothered to chase up same manager to get it fixed. Hopefully he'll read this
