Bowman Lodge & Convention Center
"I stay at this hotel a minimum of twice a year (past 7 years). Usually in the spring and the fall for pleasure. The hotel has everything a person needs. Clean, (Usually quiet) convenient and safe. The only downside that is clearly notable, is the staff and training. Each visit there is new staff that are just not trained very well. There is a lot of turn over! The night shift person appears to have lasted over a year but as far as others. They are new and lack the skills to operate effectively and efficiently. On several occasions, there is no person available or if there is. That person is unable to perform the task. As far as courtesy, the staff are very nice but unfortunately not very helpful. This last visit, I was unable to change my credit card, the person behind the desk didn't actually know what side of the hotel my room was on. To me these are MUST KNOW things, to operate the front desk. I understand if someone is new and need to get experience but this is EVERY year! If you stay here, let it be known that. The hotel is clean, safe and all around nice but stay here knowing that you might be billed incorrectly, might not be able to get extra pillows, advice about surroundings or rely on the staff very much."
