Beaches
There are 33 beaches in Anguilla and you’re sure to find your own private sliver of sand. Some of the most popular ones are Shoal Bay East, Meads Bay and Sandy Ground. Our personal favorite was Shoal Bay East and its miles of perfect white sand beach.

Luxury Villas
Stay in a ridiculously gorgeous villa: Think private pool, epic views and more. The island isn’t for those looking for an all-inclusive. Instead, the gorgeous villas here include properties aimed at both couples and those traveling with the entire family.  We suggest the gorgeous CeBlue Anguilla villas on Crocus Bay.

Small, but not too small
Anguilla’s not small in the sense that you can walk everywhere; we highly suggest renting a car to fully explore the area. The island is 16 miles long and 3 miles wide at its widest point, which means if you take a wrong turn you’ll never truly get lost. It takes less than an hour to drive from one end of the island to the other.

Sandy Island
Spend the day on Sandy Island, a quick ten-minute boat ride from Sandy Ground. It’s a great place to spend a few hours or the entire day like we did. The only thing on the island is a “beach club” with beach chairs and a restaurant and bar. Make sure to check their events calendar to see if they have a DJ. And do spring for the Caribbean lobster. Served with a tasty curry butter, it’s the best we’ve ever had.

Seafood
Being right on the sea, Anguilla is a great place to indulge in fresh seafood. If you see Anguilla Crayfish on the menu, definitely try it. They are ingenious to Anguilla so you won’t’ be able to get them anywhere else in the world.

Sunsets
Every night, head to the beach and watch the sun sink into the ocean. Our favorite spot was on Crocus Bay. Several of the restaurants and beach bars have a happy hour special. Just another reason not to miss the sunset in Anguilla.
