The summer solstice is a day of extremes. It’s the longest day of the year for everyone in the top half of the world and the shortest for those south of the equator. The solstice also marks the official start of summer in the United States, so to celebrate we’ve collected 20 of the most epic sunrises and sunsets captured during our global travels.
