Seattle is one of those blessed places that’s just as much fun at night as it is during the day. Meaning there’s no excuse to stay in after the sun’s gone down. After sightseeing all afternoon, check out some of these great things to do in Seattle at night.

Have cocktail at Unicorn and Narwhal

This pair of carnival-themed bars are among Seattle’s quirkiest and coolest. At Unicorn, you can wash down deep-fried Snickers and gourmet corn dogs with a cold pint—all while staring deeply into the eyes of the exotic animals mounted on the candy-striped walls. Narwhal, its sister bar, is located directly below. Grab an antique ferris-wheel seat and order up a cheekily-named cocktail, or slide a few quarters into one of the bar’s many arcade games. Not surprisingly, these bars can get pretty packed. We’d recommend heading there around 8–9 p.m., just before the evening rush.

Take an evening dinner cruise

What could be better than enjoying a tasty dinner, while cruising around Lake Union and Lake Washington and enjoying some incredible city views? Enjoy wine and cocktails and scarf down four courses as the sun sets behind the skyline and the famous Space Needle. Along the way, your captain will narrate notable sights as you glide serenely past. This dinner cruise is also an excellent excuse to dress to the nines while on vacation.

Catch a movie at Seattle Cinema

Known as Seattle’s “most epic movie experience,” the Seattle Cinerama sure lives up to the name. In this huge cinema, you’ll find original costumes from some of Hollywood’s biggest movies. Oh, and they have actual movie theaters here too, so you can catch the newest movies after you’ve finished taking selfies with those famous Batman and Star Trek costumes.

Enjoy the views at the Sky View Observatory

If you want to soak in those city views from up high, then head straight for the Sky View Observatory. If you go on a clear evening, you’ll be treated to panoramas that glimmer beautifully with thousands of distant street lights. It’s no wonder this iconic landmark is known for being among the most romantic spots in the city.

Visit the famous Seattle Symphony

The Seattle Symphony‘s bold, impassioned mission is to ‘unleash the power of music.’ And not only has it succeeded, but it’s won awards for it, among them two Emmy Awards and 18 Grammy nominations. This world-class institution offers a variety of programs and shows to choose from each month, meaning you’ll have no trouble finding a little cultural enrichment to suit your tastes.
