The City of Light is going the way of the Grand Canyon and Chicago’s Willis Tower. According toCNN, the Eiffel Tower in Paris has installed a glass walkway at its first level (which is 187 feet above ground) and has become an instant hit among tourists in search of quick thrills and picturesque selfies. Parisians, meanwhile, are just happy it will keep tourists away from their city for a little longer.

A fare to remember
Traveling for the holidays? According to Orbitz (yup, things just got meta), the best day to book your Thanksgiving travel is today—October 10. Meanwhile, New Year’s Eve’s best day for airline purchases is October 14. As for Christmas travel, the best time piqued on Wednesday, unless of course you dislike your family in which case the best time to book a flight back home is never.

Pure trademark infringement
Ever seen a billboard of a lone sailboat drinking in a sunset? Those ads belong to Pure Michigan, the state’s official travel and tourism site. But according to the Lansing State Journal, the Haunt—a popular haunted house in Grand Rapids—is being asked to remove its slogan “PureMichiganFear” due to trademark infringement. And here we thought the ad referred to late-night in parts of Detroit.

Planes, gains and automobiles
American Airlines and automaker Cadillac are teaming up to bring AAdvantage members a bevy of exciting benefits. According to Forbes, members of its ConciergeKey Program with tight transfers may receive gate-to-gate escort service in one of its luxury cars. Also, test driving  a Cadillac will yield 7,500 additional AAdvantage miles. Sounds like the Cadillac of frequent flyer programs.

Virgin territory
Richard Branson, CEO of Virgin Group has a new employee policy—take as much vacation time as you want. According to CNN, the billionaire entrepreneur best known stateside as the owner of Virgin Airlines doesn’t care how much time his staff takes off provided they get their work done. Excuse us for a moment while we go update our resume…
