On-site assistance: the mobile version of Basecamp.

By Mark Chesnut

In August, Orbitz for Business — the corporate travel brand of Orbitz Worldwide — introduced Orbitz for Business Meetings, a new booking channel developed in conjunction with StarCite, a leading provider of Web-based solutions to manage corporate meetings and events.

But, as good as it feels to tout the latest business-oriented developments fresh from the Orbitz umbrella, there are lots of other great tech devices — including apps, programs and gizmos — that can also help make that next meeting go more smoothly. Here are a few of the best.MeetingMix
An online agenda and minutes template, MeetingMix allows you to create an agenda, designate attendees responsible for various duties, share comments, type minutes or read minutes input by someone else.

Basecamp
This project collaboration tool has a convenient mobile version that allows you to post new messages for your team and/or clients, read and add comments and also create and check off to-do items, all while on the road.

Crate
With this easy-to-use file-sharing service, you can drag and drop unlimited files onto its cloud, so that they can be accessible from any computer, anywhere. You can also share the link for a whole “crate” or an individual file.

Expensify
Sick of expense reports? With Expensify, you just take a photo of receipts with a smart phone and attach it to a report. You can link a credit card, log hours, track mileage, create instant reports and reimburse expenses online.

EasySign
That outdated practice of signing and faxing forms —  not to mention scanning them — is easily avoided with EasySign, which allows you to sign documents using your iPhone or iPad.
