As a busy mom, I can really get on board with the idea of someonecatering to my every whim. It’s also why personal butler service on a Bahamas vacation at the new Sandals Emerald Bay Golf Resort and Spa intrigues me to no end. For most people, having a butler means buying a statue of a guy in a uniform and sticking it by the front door. At Sandals, it means redefining all inclusive vacations by providing guests a personal attendant trained by the Guild of Professional English Butlers.

Sandals Emerald Bay Golf Resort and Spa

Imagine Jeeveswaiting on you here on the shores of Sandals Emerald Bay, Bahamas...

Opened this past spring on Great Exuma,  Sandals Emerald Bay Golf Resort calls itself the first “all-butler resort.” Basically, that means that every guest receives personal butler service. This includes being served with a fresh drink upon arrival, having your luggage unpacked, and even having your clothing pressed. At the beach, your butler will also bring you cold towels, drinks and water. And every guest has instant access to their personal butler via cell phone.

It’s not that I’m hard to please. Any kind of Bahamas vacation sounds wonderful to me. But a Bahamas vacation with a personal butler drawing me a hot bath and bringing snacks to my room sounds absolutely transcendental. Sure, it’s a little extravagant, but if you’re going on a once-in-a-lifetime vacation, why not indulge in a fairy tale lifestyle for a few days?
