At first glance, this might look like a scene from Bourbon Street during Mardi Gras, but look again, and you’ll see smiling Chicago fans celebrating the Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup championship win this past Wednesday. The Hawks beat the Philadelphia Flyers 4-3 in overtime and cinched their first Cup win since 1961.

This scene was captured Wednesday night by our own Chris O’Brien just outside of John Barleycorn on Clark Street in Wrigleyville. The party continues on Friday in a Blackhawks parade set to run through downtown Chicago. The ticker tape parade begins at 10:30 a.m. CT at Wacker and Washington, and will be followed by a rally at 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Michigan and Wacker.
