Orbitz Twitter Giveaway: 10 airline tickets up for grabs

Tweets for tickets is back by popular demand, and this time we’re upping the ante. Instead of one round-trip airline voucher, we are giving away 10!

To enter for a chance to win one of 10 round-trip coach-class airfare vouchers valid for travel in the domestic United States in the Orbitz Twitter Giveaway, here’s what you’ve got to do:

Start following Orbitz on Twitter.com, if you’re not doing so already.
Retweet that day’s contest message, which will be posted on the @Orbitz Twitter page.

We’ll announce the winners on the @Orbitz Twitter page. If it’s you, make sure to send a direct message via Twitter within 48 hours. Remember, all entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. CT on October 27, 2009. Limit one entry per person/twitter address.

DESCRIPTION OF GIVEAWAY: Via online method only, entrants will have the opportunity to win one (1) of ten (10) roundtrip coach class airfare vouchers valid for travel in the continental United States. Entrants must be a follower of @Orbitz on twitter.com and must retweet that day’s contest message sent by @Orbitz which will be posted on the @Orbitz Twitter page. Entries will be accepted starting at 9 a.m. on October 27, 2009 until 11:59pm CT on October 27, 2009.

ELIGIBILITY: The Orbitz Twitter Giveaway (the “Giveaway”) is open only to legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States (including the District of Columbia), who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Orbitz, LLC (“Orbitz” or “Sponsor”), and their respective parent companies, affiliates, promotion and other vendor agencies involved in this Giveaway, as well as the immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such employee, are not eligible. Void in Alaska, Hawaii and where prohibited or restricted by law. Giveaway is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

GIVEAWAY TIMING: The Giveaway begins at 9 a.m. Central Time (“CT”) on October 27, 2009 and ends at 11:59 p.m. CT on October 27, 2009 (the “Promotional Period”).

HOW TO ENTER: To enter, visit www.twitter.com/ and become a follower of @Orbitz. Then, retweet the contest message sent by @Orbitz, which will be posted on the @Orbitz Twitter page. Winner will be notified via the @Orbitz page. You will be required to contact Orbitz by direct message via twitter within forty-eight (48) hours, to provide your email address, if you have been notified you are a winner. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. CT on October 27, 2009. Limit one (1) entry per person/twitteraddress.

GRAND PRIZE WINNERS PRIZE SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: This is a game of chance. Odds of winning are based on eligible number of entries. Winners will be selected at random using an independent auto-generated selection process available at http://www.random.org/integers/. Grand Prize notification will be completed on or about October 28, 2009. Potential Grand Prize winners will be notified via the @Orbitz page on Twitter.com and asked to direct message their contact information, including e-mail address to confirm their eligibility. If any winner notification remains unanswered for more than forty-eight (48) hours, the prize will be forfeited in its entirety and an alternate winner will be selected. Grand Prizes will be delivered via the e-mail address you supply within seven to ten business days after eligibility confirmation. The Grand Prize is not transferable; no prize substitutions or cash alternatives are allowed except as may be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Limit one Grand Prize per entrant.

PRIZE AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE: (10) Grand Prizes: 10 roundtrip coach class airfare vouchers valid for travel in the domestic United States with an Approximate Retail Value of $350.00 on the airline of sponsor’s choice. Approximate Total Prize Value $3,500.00. Limit one Grand Prize per entrant. Actual value may vary based on airport fluctuations, and points of departure. Winner will not receive the difference between actual and approximate retail value. Travel dates may be selected by the winner, but are subject to availability and blackout dates, and the terms and conditions of the voucher. Sponsor will not replace any lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets, travel vouchers or certificates. All federal, state, and local taxes and fees are the sole responsibility of the winner. Sponsor will comply with all income tax reporting obligations.

BY ENTERING THE GIVEAWAY, participants release and holdharmless Sponsor, and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Giveaway or any prize won, including any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in the Giveaway.
