Would you rather sit with your boss for business travel or go
it alone?

Fifty-eight percent of business travelers said they would
rather sit by themselves on a flight, while 42 percent would welcome a chance
to be with the boss, according to a new Orbitz for Business survey.

Here are some other results of the online survey, which
involved 261 people who traveled for business this year:

  • 65 percent of the business travelers said they would pay
extra for benefits such as refundable airfares, priority/exit row seating and
    other conveniences.
  • 40 percent said their company would cover the cost of a
seat upgrade of $50 or less at check-in.
  • 56 percent say their employer places no restrictions on
when they book flights for business travel.
  • 36 percent say sometimes they may be required to travel
before or after normal business hours, but they can otherwise choose their own
    flight times.
  • 8 percent say their employers require that they travel
before or after business hours unless it’s not possible.
