Business travel survey: Most don't want to sit by boss

Would you rather sit with your boss for business travel or go
it alone?

Fifty-eight percent of business travelers said they would
rather sit by themselves on a flight, while 42 percent would welcome a chance
to be with the boss, according to a new Orbitz for Business survey.

Here are some other results of the online survey, which
involved 261 people who traveled for business this year:

65 percent of the business travelers said they would pay
extra for benefits such as refundable airfares, priority/exit row seating and
other conveniences.
40 percent said their company would cover the cost of a
seat upgrade of $50 or less at check-in.
56 percent say their employer places no restrictions on
when they book flights for business travel.
36 percent say sometimes they may be required to travel
before or after normal business hours, but they can otherwise choose their own
flight times.
8 percent say their employers require that they travel
before or after business hours unless it’s not possible.
