I loved the hotel grounds and the staff. Room was well appointed and it was quiet considering it is family friendly. The Spotted Dog cafe on site was phenomenal. The one downside was, there was no continental breakfast offered. There was coffee in the room, however. Walking distance to park but on the other side of the road so you didn't get a lot of walking traffic.
Stayed two nights in September of this year. Room was spacious and comfortable. Beds were pretty good, not too soft or hard. Of course the views were spectacular. Only down was the breakfast buffet was not to our liking, food was not hot and a bit too eclectic for our tastes.
A great place to stay, walking distance from the entrance to Zion. Room was large, staff was helpful, and the spotted dog cafe, which is the onsite restaurant, might be the best food in Springdale. Highly recommended.
The location of Flanagan’s is perfect, it’s a 5 minute walk to Zion National Park, but there’s even a shuttle bus stop outside if you’d rather not walk. Although it’s not in the park, the views and the surroundings are still spectacular with huge, colourful cliffs on either side. There is a short walk up the hill in the grounds of the hotel that you can take which gives you a different perspective - there’s a maze/art installation up there too. Parking is free and plentiful. The rooms were a really high spec with an enormous and comfortable bed. We did have a bit of trouble with our air-con, but they came and sorted that straight away. In the lobby there is fresh strawberry and mint water which was very refreshing. There’s also a computer you can use with free printing. The WiFi in the room was fine. There’s no breakfast in the hotel, but you can get a discount at The Spotted Dog Cafe. The pool was lovely, again with great views and there are nice gardens with a pond and benches as well. Our room has a nice little patio to chill out on in the evening. The hotel is very expensive for a 3-star, although I think it deserves to be at least a 4. But you can see why it’s expensive as it’s so good. We didn’t use the spa facilities but the brochure looked good. Would love to return one day - will start saving the pennies now.
Lovely stay after a day at the park! the room was specious, welcoming and has it all. We also had a balcony with the view of the mountains :) the hotel is a walking distance from the park, so you can park the car and there is no need to wait for the shuttle. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
This was my first trip to Zion National Park. My husband and I chose Flanigan’s due to proximity to the park entrance and location of shuttle stop. These features made for easy access to the park & shuttle service runs all day into early evening. All restaurants and shopping are close enough to walk to as well. Folks at Flanigan’s are welcoming and helpful with daily activities, maps etc. The Inn has spectacular views of the mountains across the road & The Spotted Dog restaurant has a great gourmet menu.
Friendly and super accommodating staff in a perfect location makes this Inn a special place to stay. The restaurant next door (Spotted Dog Cafe) was excellent food. Two of the best meals we have had ever were our two dinners there. Great access to Zion National Park. Nice spa on site and fun town to visit. We will definitely return.
First, let me say this is a very nice Inn! The room is nicely appointed and the beds are very comfortable. The only problem we had was in the morning when we tried to make coffee and turn on the tv and the power was out. That was a real bummer, since it is really hard to start your day without that first cup of coffee. The other problem was with the shower valve, in that it was hard to get the desired temperature. When we told management, they were very nice and said we should have called them and they would have taken care of it. I asked if we could extend our check out to noon and they said no problem but when we came back at 11:30 we were locked out! Again, management was very nice and said they automatically reset every day. If I were to come again, I would still book with them.
My wife and I just completed a loop of national parks in the southwest. Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde, Arches, Bryce Canyon, Zion, and the Koblon Canyon section of Zion which is like a separate park. While we had good accommodations throughout, Flannigan's Inn in Springdale was by far the best of them. We had a very nice size room complete with gas fireplace and sitting area. The restaurant on the property, the Spotted Dog, while not inexpensive was outstanding with a wide selection of options and a killer wine list. When staying at Flannigan's, guest can get the buffet breakfast at the Spotted Dog for $4.99; a great way to start the day. My favorite feature is a short path up a knoll on the property that provide a great view up the canyon and allows you to get clear photos without the power and phone lines. There is an area for yoga on/off the trail as well not that I have ever used it. While they are also on the free shuttle line to the park, you can easily walk to the park from their site.
Had an excellent father/ daughter hiking trip at Zion National Park in September. While there we stayed at Flanigan's Inn. Great choice in every way. This hotel is just a 10 minute walk from the Tourist centre in Zion Park. The hotel is very well maintained. Very spacious rooms and a relaxing pool area with beautiful unobstructed views to the canyon walls. A great surprise was the restaurant, which was in our opinion the best in Springdale. We had a 4 night stay and we ended up eating there 3 nights. Evern though the restaurant is very large-with two outdoor patios, be sure to make reservations because it was packed each night of our stay. After our first hike in Zion we had massages at the spa. We only intended to have massages once our massage therapist was so amazing we had to have one the next day too! Make sure you ask for Ellen and have the hot rocks!! All the staff at Flanigan's were friendly and very eager to please. I will definitely stay here again! Well Done Flanigan's!!
