Crowne Plaza Zhengzhou4.0 out of 5.0

The Crowne Plaza is in the same premises as the Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn express and the Sofitel. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Decent breakfast and an Italian restaurant for vegetarian options. Staff speaks limited English except at the reception. Rooms are well furnished although small by usual Chinese standards.
Overall it was a good experience, the front desk staff at check in did not speak much English but she really tried to explain herself. The room was superb, although the separation between the bathtub and the room is a screen film and not a glass door. Since it was just myself, it was ok but if you travel with someone else, there is no much privacy from the toilet area to the bedroom in the suite I was. I would also suggest to have better signage to the swimming pool as it is on the second tower, the cleaning staff was very nice to show me the way, otherwise I would not have found it Room service staff was wonderful! Although she made a mistake on the order, she corrected it right away and was very kind The Sunday lunch buffet was really good for the price, a nice selection of dishes.
Nice hotel located in the central place in Zhengzhou, easily to access. Free parking, and warm welcome from the front desk. Big swimming pool and gyms, breakfast tomorrow try. I like the room of this hotel very much, for me they update the room as duplex room, the bedroom up stair, and living room down stair, quite interesting and i am happy with it.
Stayed at the hotel while on business in China the hotel is excellent and staff were very helpful and always happy to assist The rooms were very good and as a spire elite member was upgraded as expect the only complaint was the at the wifi was very slow but will be visiting the hotel again soon on our return
Firstly, we are big IHG fans and spend around 20 nightsba year in their hotels, however this CP is a big miss. The staff, with the exception of one bellboy, were perfunctory and clearly just going through the motions. They lacked warmth, and any of friendliness that you normally get in a five-star hotel. The rooms was OK, although it was on the small side and the decoration is way OTT. I have also reviewed the dreadful hotel restaurant "Mama Mia" on this site. In summary, we had spent the previous night at the Hilton a few hundred metres up the road, and for the same money, it is a superior hotel in every respect.
Excellent room service, room equipment on the really high level, friendly staff, but sometimes to discuss with them in English language. For European visitors there is possibility to get European breakfast, for who dont like chinese food it very important
The Crowne Plaza Zhengzhou is nestled in a bustling part of the city near several international hotels but not in any tourist area. There are two great parks within walking distance with a Walmart and upscale mall nearby, accessed by walking, taxi, or uber. Staff was wonderful and most spoke English well and were anxious to help out. Breakfast from 6:00-10:00 was full service with European, American, and Asian fare. Even though the hotel is in the heart of the city, rooms are quiet and spacious.
Stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Zhengzhou on our way to the Shaolin Temple. The rooms are very nice and well renovated, almost feels like new. The hotel also has a very nice and well attended swimming pool area. The gym next to it was a bit small, but there were also two ping pong tables, which can be fun. Lastly, we really appreciated the service from the Chief Concierge Barry, who helped us to arrange our visit to the Shaolin Temple and also recommend some tasty local food.
Stayed at 2 separate occasions for 1 night each. The first stay was upgraded to a suite with 2 levels. The room was spacious, and the ac worked well. The second stay was in a standard room. The ac in the room did not work as efficiently and the room never did cool down. The breakfast buffet was good with sufficient selections. The staff were courteous and helpful.
Clean standard room which was too warm in february. Mentioned at the reception and a day later it was changed form 27 -> 25 degrees in the room. Friendly staf. Unfortunately only a few speak fluent English (at the reception desk). Very polite welcoming during the breakfast to adress you a table. Good coffee (freshly grinded espresso). Very limited choice of bread (toast + soft french bread). Not a really bar available, only a lobby bar, used by almost nobody due to lack of athmosphere. Italian restaurant on the pricy side but with good quality. Taxi ride from airport to hotel: around 150 RMB (if it's more, they cheat on you.)
