Pullman Hotel is one of the best hotel in this city. The hotel is arranged as a resort hotel. it has good location near to city center and just next to cultural performance center. It also near to national forest park as the main tourist attraction here. Everything is nice, except the food provided at the breakfast. Although they prepare various foods, but each day almost offer the same kind of food, therefore if you stay more than 2 days, it will be bored.
Nice big hotels in Zhangjiajie, lobby was huge too big to be properly heated, so in the middle of winter it was freezing, but at least you get warmth from the lady attending the front desk. They upgraded me as a platinum member, my rooms were ready when I arrived, same floor, close to each other, very nice. A little issue with bedding as it was smaller than advertised, however a short call to the manager, the problem was sorted immediately, Really appreciate their effort and willingness to help. Breakfast fare was acceptable considering Zhangjiajie is not a big city. Room a little dated, but big and comfortable. Nice hotel with great staffs who are always willing to make your stay pleasant
This hotel is not in the main city of Zhangjiajie but it was within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. Only five minutes drive to one of the entrances to the National Park. Buffet breakfast had a variety of Western and Chinese foods to choose from and the room was clean, modern and had the relevant comforts (slippers, bathrobes, toiletries, etc).
The hotel is located close to the scenic area , some mountain.... and next to the auditorium where they have the ethnic show of the locality. The hotel is clean but additional posh refurbishment can bring delight. The room has all you need for your vacation accommodation. The details of service is similar to hotels in other Pullman. It would be nice if the breakfast can have more variety of choices for those who would like to have the intercontinental breakfast variety than the local Chinese options only. Overall its the best choice in town. Don't know how the newly opened Crowne plaza there is like.
Travelled with friends to ZhangJiaJie during 29 October - 6 November. LOCATION Pullman Hotel seemed like the best option then as it was the only internationally known chain around. As you can imagine, most guests are from everywhere else on the world. Crown Plaza was in midst of opening just next door when we left. Hotel is located in Wulingyuan (武陵源）approx 30 - 40 mins drive from the airport, 25 - 30 mins drive to ZJJ town, and 10 mins walk to the bus station. You could take a bus to Yangjiajie (杨家界) National Park or the Glass Bridge. We liked how there were many shops and dining options just within walking distance. You could also take a 15 - 20 mins stroll to the entrance of the ZhangJiaJie National Park where the famed Tianzi Mountain (天子山) and the Avatar/Hallelujah Mountains are. ROOMS Rooms were very spacious but unfortunately did not provide much of a view despite being so near the mountains. In-room amenities included a full range of toilet amenities, hairdryer, wifi access, bottled water, laundry (chargeable). FOOD We had buffet breakfast daily - good variety of both Asian and Western selections but quality of some items were a bit dubious. We tried buffet dinner one night in the same restaurant but was quite disappointing. Afternoon tea at the lounge had quite a good portion of sweet snacks while providing a quiet place time-out from the crazy National Park crowds. There is also a Chinese restaurant which we did not try out. Due to it being the only international 5 star hotel, food prices were steep compared to what you could pay for a feast outside. If you are looking for local Asian fare, you could easily walk right out of the hotel to the Chinese restaurants across - prices are half or a third of what you would pay in the hotel. SERVICE Service had its hits and misses. The staff members of the hotel were generally polite but not particularly friendly. Concierge was very helpful though when we needed help on the public buses to Yangjiajie and also in directing our taxis to our destination in ZJJ town. Look forward to another chance to return!
Room was huge. Heating system was great in winter. Breakfast was the best I had in China with many Western options. Location is convenient, only 10 minute walk to the park gate and 5 minute walk to the street with shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay there again.
We stayed in the off season so it was quiet. The pool area looked lovely. We could hear music in our room from this area. The room was clean, good size and the bathroom was large. The bed is massive. It look liked two doubles or queen beds pushed together. The shower had great pressure. The rooms were noisy as you could hear the people next door or in the corridors. The breakfast had many choices of all foods for all nationalities. The hotel is close to the park. The national Park is an amazing place to visit. The hotel is also about a 10 minute walk to the town centre with supermarket, restaurants, shops etc.
The Pullman is an ideal compliment to the city of Zhangiajie. Location, quality surroundings, comfort, cleanliness. Staff polite and helpful . Communications difficult at times for us westerners. Itineraries handled professionally and executed satisfactorily.
This is a ideal hotel ,the staffs are friendly , and the is room clean . It located at the happening area and take 5mins walk only to the Wulingmen National forest . It was a very pleasant stayed for 5nights !
A class act with all that you would expect from a top international hotel. Great facilities lovely restaurants and a relaxed atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, shame the weather wasn't better. The hotel is expensive though and even charged us for breaking a glass in the room.
