Activities nearby: The southern Black Forest offers numerous hiking trails that lead you through an impressive natural backdrop - across sunny meadows, through picturesque gorges and along clear streams, waterfalls and lakes. You can often observe rare animals and plants along the way. For sports enthusiasts there are around 3,000 km of mountain bike trails of all levels of difficulty that offer breathtaking views. On the heights of the Black Forest, you can even enjoy the view as far as the Alps when the weather is clear. Those who are brave will find a wide selection of rock formations and varied routes for every climbing level in the climbing areas of the Black Forest.
