First I would like to thank the Team of Sauce Hotel in Zaragoza for the great work, for the passion they practice their skills with and to the Management who’s doing a great job! Everything, from cleanliness of the rooms, quality of facilities, products and service of breakfast, central location nearby most touristic attractions, shopping & nightlife, professionalism of staff, and the list goes on, offered me the best experience in town! I would suggest other guests not to check-out without getting back home a jar of Sauce home-made jam which is a great symbol of the place. (Unlike me, maybe this will bring me back soon) I will surely recommend this hidden gem to other travelers! Sincerely, Nina
What a delight to have found Hotel Sauce. It´s exactly what I look for in a hotel when travelling alone. Lovely location alongside a treelined shopping street superclose to the main tourist sights, Cathedral, Basilica, Plaza España and restaurant zone. Just a few minutes walk to each down streets that feel safe and are well lit. Whilst located in the middle of things the hotel is ike an oasis. My first floor room had a small balcony overlooking the narrow shop-lined street with double set of french doors keeping the room not only silent, but also cosy and warm. The substantial curtains could have completely blacked out the room had I chosen to close them but I feared oversleeping in the comfortable bed. The decor in my room, like the public areas, was charming and tasteful with lovely artwork, bed linen and a fresh, modern but classic feel. My room was a single but with a bed that could easily have passed for a standard double and plenty of hanging space in a proper wardrobe which included a safe. Though I didn´t use the cafe due to a pressing travel schedule I would have loved to have joined the other guests who were breakfasting in the relaxing and pretty surroundings and enjoyed the house made produce and a coffee while reading the paper. Hopefully next time. Definitely amazing value for money.
Stayed here for 3 nights - hard to fault anything. Fantastic location on a quiet side street just a small stroll to the central square. We opted for a superior room that was light and airy. Staff are friendly and helpful - would highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel is in the center of the old town, a lot of restaurants and bars near around. The room is quiet( we have the interior room), not small. The crew is friendly, also they have private parking, only 15 Euros per day. Every thing is great except the pillows, we found mold on it.
This small boutique style hotel is perfectly located in the centre of the old town. Easy to base yourself here and walk to all major tourist sites. We stayed in fiesta time in the new annexe which was completely soundproofed so no problems sleeping. The rooms in the new annexe are clean and spacious and well equipped. Small cafe which is adjacent to hotel and part of hotel provides excellent breakfast, from simple croissants and coffee to cold buffet. Staff very helpful and multilingual.
The location can not be bettered, walking distance from everywhere you want to go. The room was comfortable and quiet; the bed was firm. The staff are friendly and helpful. The attached cafe was good for a coffee break - especially the cakes
Excellent location, right in the middle of what you want to see here. To get to our 3rd floor room, which they told us was new, we had to take the elevator to the 4th floor, go down the hall & out the "emergency exit" (sometimes locked) and walk down the stairs to the 3rd floor, and through another locked door to our hallway. Couldn't help thinking of the Saragossa Manuscript. Inquire in advance if you have mobility issues. The room was quite large, new & clean, well lit, with an attached kitchen. We had somehow screwed up our request for 2 beds, but they immediately moved another bed in, there was plenty of room. Bathroom had a translucent glass door that didn't close all the way, no counter space, good shower. There was no noise from outside the hotel, but there seemed to be no soundproofing at all for the hall door, fortunately we didn't have really noisy neighbors. Ventilation system worked well at first, but seemed to fall off. They offer a rather nice little breakfast buffet for E8.50.
Pros; - Great location (5 mins walk from the cathedrals, old town, Roman theatre etc) - Very clean - Comfy bed - Very good shower - Incredibly friendly staff Cons; - Fairly basic - Can be quite loud (sound of talking and doors opening/closing seems amplified by the corridor outside the room) I'd not hesitate to recommend Hotel Sauce for anyone looking for a nice, clean, convenient hotel in Zaragoza and I'd like to underline just how amazingly friendly and helpful the staff were; straight after I arrived, I asked the chap on reception how easy it would be to get tickets for that night's Real Zaragoza match. He took out his season ticket and offered it to me because he was working and couldn't go to the game. I was absolutely blown away by such an incredibly kind offer and I think it shows the kind of people they were. Thanks again!
This place has something what the others dont. The stuff members were always very helpful and kind, they can speak two or three language easily. The room was very clean and nice, everything worked well (tv, wifi, safe). The hotels little restaurant has good breakfast variations and friendly prices, and the staff are also very kind there.
I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel and the people working there. I came to Zaragoza in part to visit a church/painting in Borja. Isabel went out of her way making all the arrangements for me to visit. The hotel itself is great value, the rooms are really nice and all the staff are so helpful. I loved the breakfast and cafe as well. Zaragoza is a fun place to visit, with so many great tapas bars and some nice sites.
