The hotel was clean. The rooms where very modern and conveniently furnished. The best part of the hotel is it's location, as you are within walking distance of the train and bus stations. It's also within walking distance of the main attractions, being a little over a block away from Calle Santa Clara. You can walk all the way to the old castle in less than half an hour. I thought the breakfast was overpriced, as it's typical for chain hotels. Instead, choose to eat at any of the nearby cafes. There's one diagonal to the hotel where they can do things off the menu, which is great if you're used to eating more than a slice of toast and a cup of coffee for breakfast like most Spaniards do. The hotel also has it's own parking garage, which is a big plus. The allowed me to keep my car there until late after I had checked out.
Great hotel in Zamora. Kind service with a great attention to details. Nice spacious room with very comfortable bed. Shower worked perfectly and amenities were nice. Restaurant has a short but good menu with quality dishes. Really good.
We were at this hotel just because we made an adhoc plan during our Portugal trip and our friends from US who were also visiting Spain at the same time. Modern hotel with good facilities. Though they tried their best and were very friendly, however I would suggest the management to ensure that the staff could also speak English in order to better accommodate the needs of the visitors.
AC hotels are a cheaper range of the Marriott group and it shows. This hotel is nice enough but I am giving it 4 stars on this basis, not on what I would normally expect from a real Marriott. Much has been said about the crazy design team of the AC chain, practicality is not really one of its concerns and its taste is bordering on excentric in my opinion. Rooms are clean, quite big and modern, sound proofing is pretty bad though. Beds comfortable, no coffee/tea/ironing facilities in the room. Had breakfast in the coffee bar on the other side of the road. Wifi was free and worked well, parking was pricey so I parked on the road. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a 15 to 20 mins walk to the town centre of Zamora and you should definitely go if you have the time. Take a cab back if you are tired.
This 70's-ish modern hotel is OK, nothing special, but provides decent accomodation if you are passing through Zamora - the staff were very nice and helpful - the rooms spotlessly clean and comfortable enough for an overnight stay. It's about a 10-15 minute flat walk into the old town - underground car park at the hotel was a little cramped if you drive a 4x4 or big estate car
Room is nice and comfortable, although a bit small. Other than that the hotel has very little to offer. The 'Bar' is a room next to the reception with a fridge with beer or Coca Cola. I really am not sure how they have the nerve to call this a bar. Reception staff are frosty at best...maybe something is lost in translation, but it's not the same in other parts of Europe. Main restaurant doesn't open till 8.30... this seems like a business hotel...people need to be up early which brings me to breakfast, The accepted norm at hotels during the week seems to be six thirty these days. No breakfast here until 7.00 and nothing hot on offer! Just yesterday's cold tortilla. If I return to Zamora will look elsewhere.
The pictures posted by others tell part of the story...the room overall was very nice; but a few things were annoying. First, some designer decided that 'sexy' pot lights were a great way to light a room. This might look nice, but it leaves serious dark and light areas that make it hard to see in the room. A luggage rack installed on the window sill had a bar on the front of it that was not very noticeable....until you hit it and cut your leg. That was in one room; another room had that bar removed. Hmmm... A little thing, but annoying...another design 'cuteness' was a golf ball sized round soap. Quite annoying to manage. Soaps are rectangular for a reason: more surface contact. The parking underground was extremely tight...we were not told about the other lot they have across the street. For our big car, that would have made more sense. The staff was very nice and helpful; and other than the design flaws, we found the place was fairly luxurious by our standards. The free wifi worked fine for us.
The hotel is nice, but simple, no extra's. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean and bed is ok. The food in the restaurant is good, but average. No additional service, like something to eat in the afternoon is possible. I checked the sport/gym; but the room was small and on the top floor and very warm. Wifi is not working very well, you need to enter the code every half hour-hour.
Stayed at the AC Zamora a second time. No forms just a credit card and the keys were ready to go. The hotel is great value for money and the staff is very helpful. The hotel is located close to Zamora station as well.
We stayed one night during las fiestas de San Pedro and were impressed by the hotel. When we arrived, there was no available parking due to the festivities. One of the receptionists offered us his work space as he had to step out for a moment. The same employee came to our room to help w/ the ac. The rooms are comfortable and relatively big. The crib they installed for our son fit in fine and left more than enough space to move around the room. The hotel is a 5-10 walk from the historic center of town and easily connected to the highways in and out of the city. The next time we are in Zamora (a very under-rated city, BTW), we will definitely look for availability at the AC Hotel Zamora.
